Incredible experience. My husband, myself and our 8 year old son spent the morning climbing with Cesar. He was knowledgeable, patient and inspiring. He truly is a gifted teacher. He coached my son and I on where to grab when the holds weren't obvious to us. We were successfully able to make it to the top on many lines. We left feeling very proud of ourselves. I always felt we were completely safe, the equipment was in excellent condition and Cesar always double checked the knots. 100% recommend this tour.

If you have never tried outdoor rock climbing, do not miss the chance to climb with Cesar and his team! Besides climbing on one of the coolest rock formation I have ever seen, they are experienced and very friendly. Cesar is a professional, sponsored and well recognized rock climber in Panama (he is the first professional climber in Panama). It is amazing that my wife and I got to climb with him. We actually loved out time so much that we booked an afternoon session of deep water solo. Sure it is a little pricey, but it includes all the gear, and they will take the time to show you how to climb and introduce you to this wonderful sport.

If you go to Boquete with your climbing partner, that's the best ! The climbing paths are original and a nice challenge!The guides are great, sympathic and they adapt the path for your level, thought you need to be in great shape to get to the top.

Also Cesar was not available the time when I was there, the tours where guided by Ruben, a very good climber. I consider myself an experienced climber but still it was fun to explore the rocks of Boquete and the surroundings. A must do: the Gualaca Canyon!

Cesar is a great climber and a nice person. He is very patient and supportive while you climb. I did a lead climb that took me 45 minutes to finish, and Cesar didn't complain about belaying me for that long at all.

We booked Water Solo Bouldering with Cesar through Explora Ya for my birthday and it was a great experience. I was pretty useless but Cesar was encouraging and offered to show me other problems and advised me on how to progress with each one. It was a lot more challenging than indoor bouldering, that's for sure!The location is simply beautiful and it's a really worthwhile experience - even if, like me, you're not strong enough (or brave enough!) to manage to get to the top, it's great to just give it a go and if not, enjoy jumping and swimming in the natural pools. Thanks Cesar and Israel for a great day!

I've done indoor rockclimbing maybe 3 times, and I always love the challenge but outdoor rockcliming always seemed so dangerous, but after seeing a pic of the ladrillos I just had to try it. Cesar and the 2 other guys were awesome guides, I did one of the hardest routes first, and it probably took me like 20 minutes, but I wasn't going to give up , it was very challenging but also very fulfilling when you do finally reach the top, my forearm was sore for days but totally woth it .You wwould never think cesar is a world class climber , he is so humble , and watching him climb is absolutely beautiful, he does it with such grace, so if you don't want to climb it is worth going just to watch Cesar free climb!!

If you are visiting Boquete with children over 6 years old and are looking for interesting activities, you must experience Los Ladrillos walle a Basaltic Rock located at Boquete. Cesar is a world known rock climber sponsered by Merrell, he is great with children.

My boyfriend and I had never done this before! and though it could be fun.. it looked very hard! but the guide was very helpful! and we got to do things we didn't imagine we could do. Different experience! definitely recommended if you have time for a little adventure.

I was ill that day and just did not have the strength to do it. So annoyed! I am not a rock climber, but always fancied a go, but I love basalt and all the weird formations it can take. Having seen a picture of this site I was hooked.Even though I was physically unable to do the climbing I had to see the site in the real - Wow….I have seen many basalt formations, but never horizontal! This site has 3 distinct basalt patterns/texture’s, each I can see creating a different climbing experience from quite easy, to all but impossible on the horizontal layout - as seen in the pictures. I got my pictures of the basalt formation, even some of me part way up the easiest climb, but no ropes etc to do the real thing! Such a shame... and I will never be back here again!.

On February 22, I helped Panama Rock Climbing and Habla Ya Spanish School put on a rock climbing clinic for thirty-three children from the Hogar Triskar orphanage in Boquete. The entire experience was fantastic and showed the commitment of Panama Rock Climbing and Habla Ya to the community and kids looking for a better life in the future. Besides, how often do I get to flash an arete in my tennis shoes (they didn't have any climbing shoes in my size that day and I hadn't brought my gear to Panama)? Panama Rock Climbing is a great company that combines patience, expertise and fun--you'll love it. And next time I'm bringing my shoes.

Cesar does not like to wear a shirt, but whose complaining?!? He has the body of a Greek god, and the patience of Gandhi. It was my first time rock climbing, I've never made it to the top when I indoor rocked climbed. But Cesar was amazing, so patient and told me step by step on where to go. He encouraged me and I actually made it to the top!!! Hearing Cesar's story about how he single handedly brought rock climbing to Boquete was amazing! It's insane how one man can change the course of someone's life. Ask him about it! And he will gladly share his story.
