领袖金日成故居，方圆几里都变成公园，该拆迁的拆了。草坪修得很平整，一尘不染，茅屋也是精心准备好的，表现出生贫寒，里面供着上三代祖宗的画像

跟团到朝鲜的整个行程似乎都跟随着领袖的足迹，金日成的故居也是必去的地方，其实这就是一间很普通的茅草顶屋子，现在已经被保护起来，所在的区域也建成了一个类似公园的地方，故居坐落在一个叫万景台的地方，这里依山傍水风景很好，整个屋子现在已经被修缮一新，但是仍然可以看到很多原来的风貌，比如房间里的地铺以及墙上悬挂的照片还保留了一口泡菜缸，而且是个便宜的次品，可见金日成出生在一个十分清贫的家庭，故居门口的一口井也被保留了下来，有很多塑料的杯子放在那，朝鲜当地民众都会打水喝上几口，这里也算是爱国主义教育的好地方，所以能看到好多学生组团来参观

The tour guides say this is where Kim Il Sung was born and where he grew up. Opinions differ on whether this is true or not. Actual evidence suggests that he was born in Siberia. But putting that aside, the grounds are beautifully kept and the little hamlet does offer a glimpse into rural life in a museum sort of way.

On the way here you will be told some tall tales about Kim Il Sung. When you are shown around you will also be told a story about each part of the house and each of the tools scattered around, usually involving the before and after of Kim Il Sung's rise to power.The whole visit is obviously propaganda, but it's still interesting to see what people are told about Kim Il Sung.

Visited here September 2011 with my tour group of Koryo Tours. Yes, you go to these places as part of a pre-arranged tour & all the info is scrubbed up to make the leaders look wonderful. That is a given. However, this place is a charming little location in the middle of a beautiful pristine park. It has been well restored & on a beautiful sunny day was a welcome break from all the monuments & museum interiors. The local guide was friendly & very informative.

This was probably one of the less memorable places we saw, feels very fake and not really appealing. It is great to hear the tour guides and what they think but thats about it.

There are two rows of little houses showing the photos and some utensils used in historical times. The is a well with nice spring water worth trying. The surrounding trees and greeneries are pleasant.

Revered as the birthplace of Kim Il Sung. A small homestead in the setting of gardens . Azaleas , lilac and other flowers were in abundance leaving a sweet scent in the air.

I rated this site highly as this is the perfect illustration of how a traveller’s preconceived idea of DPRK can hinder ones’ appreciation of the people, people who are just like us. We had a great time here because of the opportunity to interact. Apparently it is a local favorite sight and it was filled with visitors when we visited. We saw a group of young uniformed soldier visitors at the well. We mingled and were offered a gourd (not a cup) of water. We chatted (we only know a few phrases like father, mother) with a couple who was having picture of their baby taken by a paid photographer. We also exchanged bows and Korean hello with a 2-year-old girl whose mother was working at the lawn.To be fair, the site is well kept with a decent thatched roof house and a nice garden. Reviews would probably be more positive if it is not the birth place of a communist leader.

Totally and utterly fake. All manicured and pristine. Like most of the 'hostory' of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, it's all made up!

This is the place where Kim Il Sung was born and raised. The place and area around it is well kept and clean. Very quiet and peaceful.

A small farmhouse, which receives hedavy pilgrimage from people all over country, to pay respect.Best is the rice mat, he slept on, this is quite a mat.
