We came here every night during our 3 days stay in Kuching. Plenty of different beer, whiskies and wines to choose from. Very reasonably prices and in a good cosy street one block from the river front. Service is quick and beers are cold. What more can you ask for :-)

Fab selection of drinks: wine, beer, cider. Don't serve food but happy to order for you from surrounding restaurants. We got food from next door.Nice decor and set up and staff were lovely. Great night out.

Lovely open air bar to hang around in the evenings. Nice music and good stuff. You can also order food from the next door restaurant and relax here. Lovely!

I've visited this bar a few times and it's become really good recently. They have an English bar man who is funny and quite attractive and a great range of drinks. The decor is lovely and great for tourist photo's. It's great for groups couple and even on your own - the barman will always make you feel welcome and offer info about Kuching and places to go. Worth a visit.

Good selection of imported beers and wine. A great white wine from Chile. Friendly bartenders.A very nice place to hang out after a day of sightseeing. Relaxing atmosphere. Patio is a good spot to enjoy the scene. This pub could just as well be in San Francisco with is brick and wood decor.

Great little bar but what the hell is wrong with Kuching's music scene, everywhere we went we had to listen to bad 80s love songs, or cheesey 90s pop.

We went here after dinner. We sat in the outside patio. Though it took a little while to have someone take our order, it was worth it. This place has great atmosphere and friendly staff. Great place to spend a bit of time.

Very nice pub in a very quiet town. Nice to hear some people enjoying themselves. Great staff and atmosphere. If you are in Kuching visit this bar.

Really nice bar with a good atmosphere and live music in the evening. Very attentive staff too and a good choice of drinks.

Finally got a chance to pay this cool place a visit.. this place absolutely exceeded my expectations! I love this place.. Though was a bit bothered by the tall chairs (wasn't an issue anyway) i had the best hang out time ever with friends who came down from other places. Food wise, you can actually order pizzas and lots of choices of food to order from next door (Atapcorner kopitiam). They do not serve proper dinner if you looking for some serious food.Wide selection of beers and liquors.. you name it.. they have it. Not the best place for cocktails though. Nice decors in the shop.. you can find old radios, fans.. luggage and even vintage cash register (attracted me the most) in the laid back bar which makes me feels like home. I can assure that you are going to have a good time if you are looking for a place to reminisce the old days and hoping to have a great time. 2 important tips that you need to have in mind though.. places will seem overcrowded during the weekends and do not forget bring along a bottle of MOSQUITOES REPELLENT as the place is dim and near to grass area.

With well considered decor, an excellent range of drinks (especially whiskey), good music and a relaxed atmosphere this place could be in any large cosmopolitan city but instead it's in the backstreets of Chinatown, Kuching. Not the cheapest place but the service was great - recommended.

Located right in the heart of the city on a stretch of road called Carpenter street, admist rows of very old shops and quaint little B&Bs. The bar has a very interesting decor which I love a lot. Coupled with their songs selection which ranges with anything from 1960s - 1980s, this place reminds me a lot of a certain Bethesda game that my boyfriend used to play (*kof*Fallout 3*kof*).The bartenders are a friendly lot of people. There is this beer which is bottled in a pretty cool looking beer. We ordered a bottle of that here at Drunk Monkey and we asked one of the bartenders if we could keep the bottle. He said "yeah" and took another bottle from underneath the bar and asked us if we want another. LIKE HELL YEAH!Speaking of beer (I mean that is what we are here for anyway, right), Drunk Monkey has a wide selection of bottled beer imported from Australia, Germany, Singapore, etc etc. They have whiskeys and the likes as well, if that is what you prefer. Oh and beer on taps, they have that too. Best time to drop by: 6pm-ish. Just grab a seat by the bar and watch the place slowly fill up with fun-loving people who just want to find a nice relaxing place to sit, drink and chat-up with friends or random strangers.
