The Cairnlea area was developed by VicUrban and contains a large number of wetlands and waterbodies designed to capture, retain and treat stormwater from the urban catchment. Australian Ecosystems has collected seed, planted and maintained all the wetlands on this housing project, totalling around 500,000 plants.This has provided habitat for numerous water birds.Its an ideal location to walk with many pathways, BBQs and shaded shelters to enjoy your freshly cooked meal. Great place for the kids to enjoy the open areas of parkland. I am fortunate that I can see the one of the lakes from my bedroom balcony.The Cairnlea Town Centre is a short drive or walk away.
