This was amazing experience. ir is clean, fast and efficient mass transit system.It was really great experience to use it and not just as the means of the transport rather as the great tourist attraction too.

This is a great way to take in the views from high above Medellin. It's very cheap, and there are two routes, so allow time to continue over the mountain to the park on the other side. It will take you from the city to the country in just a few minutes.Going over the mountain can be quite cool, so those sensitive to the cold might want to take a sweater or light jacket, even if the weather is warm in Medellin.By all means... Take a good camera!

A little chaotic getting on, but the system worked very well an efficiently, great view of the city from the car. Unless your lucky to have a car to yourself ,taking pictures was not recommended until you get off the cable car. this is for local transportation to the poor areas of town and it is considered rude to treat the neighborhoods below as a tourist attraction. That said wish our city had a metro cable such as this, very cool way to get around.

we went with the metro from Poblado to the Metrocable. The view is excellent and it is woth to get out and walk around at the top. The peoplle are very friendly... we had lunch in a local place. Very good food.I my opinion, a must to do while in Medellin!

This is probably the cheapest sightseeing tour in the world. You buy regular metro tickets for 2000 cop, around 0,75€, take the train to Acevedo station, and then change to the Metrocable, which is included in the ticket. It's not supposed to be a tourist trip, it's actually the regular means of transportation for those who live uphill in the favela. So yes, you will travel over some really poor neighborhoods, but you will also have a great view of the city once you get to the top. If you like hiking, you can take a following cable car to Arví Park, which is even further uphill, or just take the same cable car back down. Either way, the Metrocable is really worth the trip.

We took the Metrocable to return to our hotel from downtown visit to Botero's scultures. It was only 3:00 pm and it was very crowded (i.e., uncomfortable). Will not take it again. The alternative are the small taxi's which can barely fit 4 people (which we were!). Otherwise, it would be better to hire a larger taxi from the hotel!

Less than 20 years ago much of the city of Medellin which the Metro Cable serves was inaccessible because of the extremely high crime rate. Even today, much of the area is not inviting to walk through, but the social/economic benefits of the Metro Cable are undeniable, allowing people to get to their homes in less than a half-hour when it used to take at least 2 to 4 hours one-way.

It was a great view of the city. I liked it for the fact that it was done to help support it's poor communities. I was also surprised that there was no graffiti on anywhere around the metro and also the cable lines, unlike many other cities I've traveled.

It was an amazing addition to the Medellin transit system. For less than a dollar you can ride the cable to the end & for an additional fare you can ride all the way to Parque Arvi part of a National Forest. You can get to the cable by entering any Metro station. The views of the various villages the cable passes are great. Don't miss this attraction.

Great way to get around. The views of the city are incredible, it was surprisingly clean and efficient. The price is incredibly low. Definitely take the time to get off and walk around. I did not feel unsafe at any time of the journey, granted we weren’t there at night.

This is a great idea for the poorer sector. The cable cars go into otherwise complicated and time consuming areas to reach. It is well maintained and clean. It is very popular, and probably helped to improve the security of those "barrios." Also, one of the lines, a touristic one, takes you to Arvi National Park, which is worth a day-long visit.

Our hotel was located just a few steps from the rail, and then a few stops from the Metrocable. We really enjoyed seeing the garden up at the top and all of the vendors that were there, too. Great view of the city!

There can't be many transport systems in South Amercia which win such high marks. The Metro Cable is very efficient, well managed and spotlessly clean. Above all, considering Medellin's recent reputation re security and also that the cable is a transport system for the marginalised people of the city is was great to be able to start up a conversation with fellow passengers. Oh yes, the views are impressive as well as getting a good aerial view of how the other half live.
