Loved the area very pretty with lots of grasses growing among the pools. It is well set up with changing rooms and toilets. Lots of different pools with different depths so you can try different ones. Wear lots of sunscreens!

Located 30 minutes’ drive from San Pedro de Atacama, at 3.500 meters altitude, it is a beautiful place to relax. These hot springs have a temperature of 30 ºC and consist of 8 pools, some with waterfalls ! To avoid crowd, I recommend you to arrive around 10 o´clock in the morning and during the week. If you are lucky, you will get a whole pool just for you ! Rooms to change are available and toilets. Bring water and food.

It's beautiful. My kids loved to swim with the small fishes. I would go in the end of the afternoon that the weather is warm but the sun is beginning to do not be so hard. Remember that you will have to walk back up. But don't miss the closure, I think it's at 5pm.

True desert oasis, changing/bathrooms on site, Explora staff set up a late morning 'nosh" (complete with wine and beer) after our 5:30 am Geyser visit.

Warm water, 8 different little lakes to relax into. They have chairs, bathrooms, and areas to change clothes. If you want a day to relax, get them to drive you there and just relax inside one of the little pools with natural hot water.

I went there to "the last relaxing bath at 12-31-2014" and it was very good. I was with a group and we managed to get a pool. wuth an samll waterfall, only for us. El Relincho the very good agency I was with provided a very good snack! Two important things, the fisrt 2 pools is always "reserved" for a guest from one specific hotel, and the price to go in may vary from 9000 to 15000 pesos chilenos, plus the price to the tour to be paid to the agency. It is a very good place to relax with warm warter. i reccomend!

Best relaxing baths for the day after Bolivia excursions, natural source coming from the mountains in the dessert. It is very peaceful, quiet, clean, incredible there. You have to go with a guide unless you have a car, it is on the way to the geysers, maybe it could be a good stop also on the way back from the geysers.

The termas have about ten different pools of natural hot water, some of them with a little fall, which acts as hydro massage, it's really great. The entrance fee for foreigners is 15000 pesos. The regular bus tours usually combine this with the geyser del tatio or something else and large group of people will come for a short period of time. Best thing to do is to get your own car to get there and spend some time, people will come and go and you will get the pool for yourself again. Note that it can be tricky to spot the entrance if you don't know it but you should see the parking with cars parked from the road. Locals tend to use the first two pools (top ones), so these get very crowded, the further you go, the less people there are. When you have had enough, there's an area with table and chairs where you can have a picnic.

Including transport and entrance fee some tour companies charge 40,000 pesos for half a day here and I'd say it's not worth that. Be aware it can be a bit crowded. Most people change as they would at the beach. Don't spend all your time in just one pool, but explore the smaller ones with nice features like tunnels through the pampas grass to waterfalls you can put your head under. We saw lockers, no signs indicating whether they were for public use - but you'd need to bring your own padlock.

You really need to experience the termas here in this area. Enjoy a day of relaxing in the water - take a picnic - worth it!

A bit expensive compared to other activites in Chile (15 000 pesos for adults, 7000 pesos for childrens aged 3-12 (?)), but a wonderful place - it was worth it!The place is well maintained, with nice bathrooms. It is very clean, and the feeling of having a bath in a river with hot water (30-32 degrees celcius) at 3500 meters above sea level, was magnificent!

This is the summit following a hike of medium exertion. The way up to the pools is beautiful and green with a stream running alongside all of the way. We saw lots of cactus in bloom and some birds and wildlife. And of course, at the summit are the beautiful fresh water pools for bathing. Facilities at the top for changing and freshening up. Refreshments awaited us that were driven up to the top so that we could partake without having to carry all the provisions up there ourselves.

After being in the sairecabur volcano, I wont to this termas, the Water is amazing in 32celsius degrees the whole year, it's cheaper after 2pm

Refreshing and pleasant this a nice place to relax with the kids for a short while. Minerals in the water are great for the skin but not super to soak in for tooooo long as your body needs not absorb them.Wooden walkways are really too hot to walk on on most days (except in deep winter). Water temperature is generally 34°C in the first pool and 32°C in the other seven pools which you may use. Only if hotel explora has no visitors when you are there, may you use pool n°1. Because hotel explora owns this place. They will tell you they are protecting it, that it is a non profit foundation that receives the monies. Others will point out that U$ 30 per person for a short visit seems exorbitant in view of the facilities and perception of the local communities. People from this area have for ever gone to Puritama, just 32 km from the village of San Pedro. they performed their rituals and had their customs, and the terraced fields and little crops were as much part of their heritage as it was of a collective spirit of ownership and stewardship. People are still living their ancient ways here in the Atacama oases and wetlands that snake through this driest of dry deserts, providing paths and homes and meaningful practices to a culture that breathes but no longer speaks. Now the drip-irrigation tubes snake black on the old dried up terraces, no one from below in the oasis shares the old customs of regularly returning and taking turns. Crumbling red walkways snake down the canyon where even if we do not use the facilities, we pay the hotel a day´s wage for permission to trek anywhere in this long long beautiful canyon where the pristine wilderness itself, her birds, fox and her lizards remind you always to tread lightly and leave no trace.

Increible place. Not so crowded at this time of the year. The temperature of the water just perfect for relaxing. Natural and peaceful. In the way to get to termas beatiful view of the desert valley.
