We really enjoyed the moon valley tour. It was really good value for money, since it was not far from San Pedro and our guide was really entertaining as well. Don't expect to be there own your own - it's quite popular but the sights of the desert valleys are amazing none the less.

This was an hour before last minute booking, so I wasn't sure which company we eventually went with. But it was a brilliant way to spend 4 hours but the highlight was seeing the sunset over Valle de la Luna. Wonderful colours which changed by the minute. A highlight of our stay in SPDA!

Going either by bike, car or tour, in my opinion this place deserves the title I wrote. Mainly because it is stunningly amazing, but also because it is authentic (there are several places around manufactured for the tourist). Allow yourself plenty of time for Valle de la Luna, so to pay a visit to the most distant building in the Salar at the end of the road. I was told the road to Valle de la Muerte is for only MTB or Enduro motorcycles, but this amazing landscape that is used by sandboarders can be greatly seen from Pucara de Quitor. Enjoy it.

I liked the tour. You can walk around the place and go into a litle cave. Afterwards you can go to the top of the montain, is not very far, and see the sunset.

A short minibus ride out of San Pedro which means that on this tour you have the chance to do more walking than the other tours we went on.I found this to be very enjoyable as the landscape is really unique & not too difficult to walk.Twisted & contorted by wind & water over millions of years -photo ops a plenty. The Three Marias or is that two & a half as one is broken after a tourist climbed up -are OK but the vistas are beautiful due to the salt encrusted stone. Stone Coyote viewer gave another series of great views of the mountains and finally the setting sun. We went with TurisTour & Max was a great guide & story teller which included his UFO video on his iPhone. Great memories & highly recommended.

I knew I would love it, but this was way more amazing than I expected. I went with Desert Adventures, and it was a good choice. Good tour, good guide, and amazing place.

I did four tours with Cosmo Andino and they were all great. Francisco was the guide for all four and he was talented, enthusiastic and really adept at getting everyone interested in all the intricate history and mythology of these spectacular places. He moved flawlesly between English and Spanish. The groups weren't huge so that added to the attraction. Loved every day of it.

Great, great, great places. The sand dunes were so much fun--running down them made you feel 8-years-old again. Wonderful experience! Recommended by Imagine Latin America and the Explora hotel.

Climbing up two hundred feet tall sand dune, you will be the King of the World with 360 degree no blocking to view the sunset and also the changing color of the valley, from brown, yellow, orange, red .... you will be delighted by this splendid view.

We went to Valle de La Lunawith the tour company Whipala. It was a wonderful tour. You meet at the Whipala office at 3:50pm. Your 4 ½ hour tour takes you hiking up for a great view of the salt flats, to see the 3 sisters, hiking through Death Valley and an amazing sunset view of Valle de lune. Buy empanadas at the lookout and treat yourself to a Pisco sour to toast the sunset. Amazing!!

I join a sun set tour with lickan-antsy, it's cheaper but our bus is not as good as others, but I still enjoy it. I pay for another day tour with lickan-antay, they forgot to pick me, and no sorry for that.

This was quite an interesting visit but not overwhelming. I would not go again, where as most of the other attractions around St Pedro and the Atacama in general, I would give my eye teeth to go back to.

Go there late in the afternoon, before they close but take the time to see this valley when the evening and the night are arriving. It's amazing. take pictures, but also take the time to relax and look around. the walk to get there is necessary but also makes it more interesting.

We came for the sunset and we were not disappointed. You see so many colors reflected in the grey/red mountains. It is a sight to be seen, but come early to reserve a spot it gets very crowded.

We did this trip in the late afternoon. Followed by sipping cocktails watching the sunset on top of a rock escarpment. The rock formations are awesome. There are some great walks. Do this trip before the high altitude ones. Recommended !
