Even that you might be indifferent to porcelain, it is worth to visit this place in case of having a free time. Basically, this place is a factory, where some of its blocks still make famous Zsolnay porcelain. The rest of the Zsolnay factory's blocks were altered to keep different exhibitions as it happens in case of many factories around the world like Winzavod (a beer factory in past) in Moscow and Technopolis (gas factory in past) in Athens, where art works are exhibited. However, majority of the exhibitions in Zsolnay factory are actually related to Zsolnay products, but you can also find some ceramics and paintings sold by local people. The territory of the factory was also rebuilt to have children on its playgrounds.Make sure to have at least two hours of your free time to enjoy Zsolnay Cultural Quarter in peace because of too many exhibitions on its territory.

The Zsolnay ceramic influence can be seen all over Pecs, in the museum and in the many municipal buildings including the post office and city hall. Keep your eyes open and you'll soon notice Zsolnay's mark on this lovely Hungarian city. the museum is worth a visit. No photography inside the museum.

One day visit is enough to tour around all the exhibits in this artistic compound but best to buy a combination ticket and take note of opening hours...

A walk around. An ice cream. A peek in one of the many small museums. That's a about it. A very beautiful small city.

The old city center of Pecs is beautiful and well worth a visit. The Zsolnay fountain is beautiful as are all the buildings in the square. Many lovely shops and out door restaurants to enjoy a cup of coffee and relax and people watch. There is a shop selling beautiful Hungarian porcelain well worth a visit.

Zsolnay is Pecs and vice versa. Its gorgeous ceramics adorn so many buildings and roofs in town, especially the famous Zsolnay fountain. So if you're in Pecs you have to visit the Zsolnay Center. The ceramic displays will delight you. It is worth the walk up to the mausoleum as well.. It is worth it to view the factory too. You get a combined ticket that allows you to visit various sections of the center. It is slightly on the outskirts but easily reached on the bus. I decided to walk back to town afterwards.

Beautifully renovated buildings, magical atmosphere, giant trees, nice garden, a lot of thing to do with or without children: planetarium, sportground, restaurants, theatre, concert hall, factory, and of course museums. Next to the main road 6, but in silence, very close to the city center. If you enter in, you'll forget the outside, it'll enchant you.Don't miss it if you're on Pécs!

It is a former porcelain manufactory plant, but this company made fairytale like building ceramics, therefore the venue is like a set of a fairytale. Worth to visit and spend nice time in the museums, partictipate in traditional creative industry manufacturing like gloves making, or baking, or ceramic making.

The site is a former china factory and next door buildings renovated with EU support and became an attraction for lovers of oriental culture, of old industries, European innovation which attracted and attracts the interest and admiration of Middle and Far East...You can visit it with small children as well since there are places of interest for the smallest including the famous Bobita puppet theatre

It takes you about 15min on foot to get here from the centre and you can find it easy because you have directions for it on the street all the time. When we visited there was a children's festival and it was really lively with various activities for kids but it was really fun, most are interactive and you can see the adults enjoying it too.The architecture is beautiful, you have several exhibitions if you like art and a few places to eat, drink and take a rest. We had a great time, but not sure how it looks when there are no events.

I visited the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter on 20th August which is a big national holiday in Hungary so much of it was closed - but I still spent several hours looking around at the beautiful architecture, enjoying the fantastic exhibits in the House of Playful Sciences (you really have to see them - interactive and fun!) and eating tasty Hungarian pastries in the cafe at the puppet theatre. I took the bus to Zsolnay but it's actually an easy 15-minute walk from the centre of Pecs.

If you want to see everything, you'll need a whole day. In this case buy a complex ticket, which is valid everywhere. If you can't spend more than a few hours, you must see the Gyugyi collection, the mausoleum of the Zsolnay family and the so-called pink exhibition. You can take a long walk on the area, which is full of interesting buildings and outdoor exhibits.

It is a very good place for those interested in arts and architecture. You can walk around among the nicely renovated buildings of the place and they also have a giant chess table on the ground.

The place as such is great and worth visiting. It’s one of the best post-industrial adaptations I’ve seen. But… To access the parking when driving from the east you have to take a roundabout way of 2-3 km. Could have been simpler. To find your way about you’ll need a map. Hmmm… Sinage? Nope. You’ll probably want to see the “porcelain in making” fragment, expecting a tour of a working factory. Well, no. It’s not that. It’s just three ladies behind a glass window shaping pots and three other decorating them, plus an old-fashioned static exposition. Oh, and do visit the physics laboratory for kids… but only if it’s pouring with rain and you have no-where to hide. Get there and have a walk about but don’t spend money on tickets unless you’ve never seen any world-class porcelain in a world-class museum.
