We found this beautiful treasure when we where looking for the Historical site of Sardis and what a surprise it was we saw a flash of brightness has the sun caught the water and then when we got round the bend there lay the lake so peaceful so beautiful. We had a short stay to have a drink and a snack but we will return for a much longer visit in a few months time

Lake Gölcük, as the Turkish name implies, is a very small lake but it should be regarded as a wonder of nature rather than a beautiful place to visit. Situated nearly at the top of a mountain range which borders Bolu city from its southern provincial districts, Lake Gölcük offers a great opportunity for a short but scenic walk in a forest of tall pines and beautiful trees. A lovely place to sit, relax, enjoy, eat, drink, meditate and energise! A nice hotel with good spa facilities is available only a 10-minute drive away.

This is a great space especially if you want to spend the day as they have an area for picnicking as well as a restaurant. The walk around the lake is not long but very scenic.

locate on mountain area, the weather is cool and comfort even in the hot summer. I really like the quite nature and the refreshing air. Highly recommend for summer escape if you feel tired of extreme hot weather in lower land or sun burning on the beach. I would like to stay there for a few days and do fishing and cycling next time.

wonderful view and natureProbably the greatest or one of the best lake views in the world.must see placein the middle of Ankara and Bolugreat lake view, nice small one and very nice forest air and view.

This lake is more beautiful than Abant. Its perimeter is about 1.5 km's so you can walk around easily. You don't need a veichle there, stop as you wish and take photos. If you bring a grill, you may cook your own food since there are places designed for picnic inside the National Park. And if you prefer eating in a cafe, you are lucky since there are two such cafes that offer delicious food and drinks. Enjoy

gets busy with families enjoying their picnics.amazing views and refreshing air. Wish there were hotels to stay and enjoy this everyday. There is one guesthouse though run by the same owner of Gazelle Resort; not sure of the rooms and rates.

The nature is wonderfull but the place needs a better service and better food. You want to feel that you are in Bolu, the capital of culinary, but you can't actually.

During my childhood this artificial pond seemed to be impressive with evergreen surrounding flora and beautiful reflection on the water mirror. Today most of the grass around is replaced with cement blocks and the walking road is paved with brick dust. The visitors will be constantly subjected to the noise of shouting picnicker families and religious preaches broadcasted to the public from the nearby mosque. Not the perfect place to relax... Lake Golcuk is maybe wort to have a quick look (there is an entrance fee), but that's all.

The lake is beautiful and is not var from the Istanbul-Ankara Highway (about 9 km only). It is located near to Golcuk Suburb and is visited by many tourists (majority are Turks) especially weekends. It is a nice spot for picknic and stroll and would difinitely recommend it for visit!

Bolu'ya gidenlerin önceliği Abant olsa da bence Abant'ın yavaş yavaş bozulmaya başlamış doğasına kesinlikle çok güzel bir altarnatif.Abanat'a nazaran daha temiz daha az insan eli değmiş bir doğa harikası.Etrafta sucuk ekmek ağırlıklı mekanlar olsada mangalcılar tarafından işgal edilmeye başlanmış.Ayrıca birkaç odalı kulübelerde konaklamak için ideal.Özellikle karlı hali daha eşsiz.Bolu merkeze 12-13 km mesafede.Aracı olanlar için Seben,Kıbrıscık yolundan ulaşım sağlanmakta.Aracı olmayanlar için ise Bolu merkezde Katlı otopark yanında Kaplıca Birlik Turizm ile ulaşım sağlanmakta.
