The "stone bridge" which can be reached after passing through the historical "old city and the markets" of Adana, the beautiful city of the south. While visiting the bridge, you can observe the typical daily course of life in the southern cities of Turkey. After having visited the bridge keep going to the Central Mosque, your tour in the history continues.

Taşköprü is one of the oldest bridges in the world. Before you could drive with the car here, but now it is only by foot. The view from the bridge is amazing, especially when you see Sabancı Merkez Camii. Sometimes tell sell tea on the bridge or a fresh pressed orange juice!

Did Paul cross this bridge while going from Antioch to Tarsus? Probably. Try it for yourself and then have a Adana kebap with ayran!

the best view of the bridge is from the river bank . You can see the additions and amendments made to the bridge over many years. Best viewed when the water is high as the view when the water is low is disappointing although predictable....mud flotsam etc what you get in any main city river. Half an hour is plenty of time to see the bridge, walk over it and take photos.

Built in 138 A.D by Roman Emperor, it's has been in use for over 2,000 years and is one of the oldest bridges in the world. If in Adana, it's a place to see as the history of the country is what makes Turkey interesting. A quick photo on the side of the river, overlooking the bridge and mosque is a great memorable photo.

Nice old fashioned bridge. Some sellers selling things. My friend bought a belt. Disappointed by graffiti on bridge. Hardly any water in October. Would be better in winter months.

As a Adanalı, I think Turkey's most livable place. Everything is possible to find cheap and everything. One has a disadvantage: The summer above 40 degrees. 11 months is generally sunny outside it. For snow to the mountains where water is available. 40km away to the sea. Anyway, I've talked a lot about from Adana, let me tell a little Taşköprü :)Taşköprü (Stone Bridge), the oldest bridge in the world. Bridge, is considered the symbol of Adana. Taşköprü over the River Seyhan, Adana city center, Seyhan and Yüreğir is the bridge which connects the collar.Bridge opposite, Turkey and the Middle East's largest mosque, the Central Mosque is located. You must come to my hometown.:)Cyaa :))

Go and have a walk there, in those beautiful green spaces that lead to the old bridge. At night , the reflection of the lights in the water are just wonderful.

Lovely Hadrian-built arched bridge, still providing pedestrians a way to cross the river in Adana. Definitely needs to be seen!

An impressing history for a bridges. Passed by Roman people 1700 years ago and after that other peoples like the Mongols and the crusaders. Today it is occupied by street vendors with small shops.

Ok it is amazing to think about its history but honestly there isn't much to see. What does make it attractive is the taste for the culture that you get with the surrounding environment of the area, the view of the mosque (cami in Turkish), the water, vendors on the bridge and around etc. If you are in Adana it is definitely worth seeing but don't go out of your way to see it if you aren't.

The bridge is certainly old and the structure is solid, but there are older and more interesting bridges in this country. One example is the Severan bridge near Nemrut Dagi. The bridge was built by four Commagenean cities in honor of the Roman Emperor Lucius Septimius Severus (193–211).Today the TasKopru is crowded with scooters and pedestrians along with various small "shops" and just now it is stacked with loudspeakers and lighting system for the local "Orange Blossom Festival".Being in Adana it is worth a visit and is a nice place to use a camera to take photos of the river and the mosque plus all the big hotels along the river.A nice place to look at the bridge, the river and the park is from the top floor of Hilton hotel or Hotel Bosnak on the west side of the river.

One should not expect some extraordinary design or something astonishing. It is the oldest bridge of the world which is still being used actively so the historical value is non contestable. It is also very beautiful and located in the city centre so a must see in Adana.

There is nothing interesting when you are on the bridge, normal pedestrians and, furthermore you'll feel sorry for it because of the dirt on the stones, the only benefit is that you can have a nice angle to shot the mosque.
