It´s a village near the Rožomberk. It´a village on UNESCO list. Village is most beautiful in the nigt. You can see here: betlehem, well, farmers house and creek in the middle of the village.

This settlement talks about the past of Slovakia. Since 1993 it is in UNESCO World Heritage List.Interesting are both the exteriors and interiors of houses. In a former school building sits exhibition of works of art and hunting trophies. Visiting Church of Our Lady - of 1865.

The road to the village is beautiful. The views near the village are great and the village itself is interesting and unique, What I did not like on my last visit was the attitude of some of the residents of the place. They were far from welcoming you on the contrary they send you away when you were looking at their places. If they got the world heritage award they should be aware of the meaning.

Now I am not really sure what this place actually is. Vikolinec is supposed to be a historic Slovakian village, but looks more like a modern Hungarian village to me. Also, I believe people are living here, so it differs from other historic villages I have been to in Hungary, Ukraine, and Poland, which have been solely museums. It was raining when I visited so I just did a quick walk through. The views of the surrounding hills are postcard perfect, but the village itself seems like a normal small village. The drive up to the village is a small one lane road but don't lose faith, just follow the signs and it will be at the end of the pavement. I saw a sign stating fees for parking and entering but I was the only visitor at the time and did not pay anything.

Vlkolinec is a genuine historic Slovak mountain village, high in the hills of the Low Tatras with remarkably beautiful period homes, arts and crafts, all displaying the way things used to be in earlier centuries in this part of Slovakia. You can drive up to the park entranceway, then walk up to and through the village. Plan on taking your time--you are not going to want to, or be able to, rush through it. It was well worth it.

Что касается Словакии в целом, то у меня сложилось стойкое впечатление, что западная Европа сильна смущена развалом Чехословакии, и чтобы загладить свою вину, надарила словакам аж 7 достопримечательностей под защитой ЮНЕСКО. Влколинец - одна из них, и ни разу на такой титул не тянет. Безусловно, природа великолепна, но над остальным ещё работать и работать. Бабуля-билетер не отдала нам сдачу в 1 евро и сделала вид, что не понимает ни на одном языке мира. Деревня небольшая, заходить можно только в два домика, никаких указателей, информационных досок. Про аудиогид вообще молчу. Откуда дома, что в них особенного и откуда они - загадка. Можно просто походить и посмотреть. Но походить и посмотреть можно в любой деревне в Словакии - такие же точно дома. Со стокгольмским Скансеном, Сканзеном под Будапештом или Ханойским этнографическим музеем даже сравнивать нельзя. Жалкая пародия. Не стоит посещения.

Vlkoliniec to wioska położona w granicach miasta Rużomberok. Składa się z kilkunastu domów, z których trzy mieszczą wystawy historyczne. Wstęp jest płatny (parking również), ale bilety nie są drogie. Dojazd do wioski prowadzi przez krętą drogę będącą w kiepskim stanie technicznym z wieloma niebezpiecznymi zakrętami (trudno minąć się autami).Wioska jest ciekawym przykładem słowackiej architektury, ale na jej zwiedzenie wystarczy raptem kilkanaście minut. Dobra propozycja dla będących przejazdem.

Влколинец нам понравился, но дело даже не в самой деревне, а в позитивном настрое нашей семьи во время ее посещения. Первый день отпуска, чудесная погода, май - все кругом расцветает, зелень яркая, красота! Да, домики симпатичные, но музей - только в одном, остальные - чья-то частная собственность, "руками не трогать". Изредка встречаются местные жители, не очень-то любезно поглядывающие на редких туристов. Если вы находитесь где-то недалеко, то можно заехать в эту деревню, но специально планировать посещение именно этого места не стоит.
