这是我们都柏林之行中最精彩的地方。爱和关怀融入了这次展览,而且这次展览也很有激情,还展览有Chester Beatty的书籍。我们对那儿的展览品用的玻璃橱印象深刻……而且是透明的,增强了那些珍贵书籍的观赏效果。展品本身……对于那些喜欢书籍本身的人来说,千万不要错过这个画廊,书的封面,印刷,彩饰等,还有书的历史价值,都很值得一看。能够看到Cheaster Beatty的圣经蒲草纸抄本收藏,而且能在这种激励人心的环境中参观,能参观这种真正的物价之宝,将会一生受益。

这间博物馆算是我所走访过的最棒的说明型博物馆了。由于这间博物馆对所有的宗教都作了一番评论,所以你需要多花一点时间,切记不要计划只是走马观花。原来我一直以为我很了解基督教,但在这里学到了更多东西呢。这里有美丽的书籍及各式文物,其中包括马太、马克、路加和约翰的部分作品,且都能阅读。上次旅行时,我就走访过切斯特比特,但第二次旅行也没错过呢,还是一如既往的感到兴奋。总之,这里绝对值的花时间和精力来参观一番。

这个博物馆藏品丰富,极具人文气息。展品陈设巧妙,颇有教育意义,不管是走马观花,还是悉心赏玩,你能都把所有展出的物件给了解个清楚透彻。我们在切斯特比特图书馆和都柏林城堡之间的空地上美美地享用了一顿野餐。切斯特比特图书馆可以免费参观,或许这里应该是爱尔兰之行中最最划算的旅游胜地了。即使你对博物馆不怎么感冒,可也不该错过这么个好机会!

在市中心,都柏林城堡里面有个著名的博物馆。这里收藏了许多历史书籍和宗教书籍,是个不错的看点。这儿还有个屋顶花园,可以看到下面的优美的公园景色。不要错过哦。还有,这儿是免费的。

To the outsider, Chester Beatty Library looks a bit unassuming. However, the collection is fantastic. They have a lovely religion exhibit I've seen several times, with really amazing old texts from many different faiths. There are also rotating exhibits with various bits from Beatty's collection; you're always bound to find something interesting. It's definitely worth the visit, especially since it's free!

Not originally on my list of places to see in Dublin, but in the end along with Kilmainham gaol one of the best. Amazing collection of ancient manuscripts – with some real world class pieces of work and some beautiful artwork. If you want to say you have seen the oldest of something or the only one in existence – then this is a place for you. The displays do change so not all I wanted to see was on display. If you like the Book of Kells then you will love this.

As I read the reviews I realized that this is a must for people who like rare manuscripts and books. My absolute favorite part of this museum was the papyrus scrolls from ancient Egypt!! I was shocked that I would even find these in Dublin. Picture taking was not allowed and there was a security guard about so I could not get any photos but this is a MUST when in Dublin. Entrance was also free which was an added bonus.

A very interesting collection of antiquity-and free to enter.Wide range of religious texts and other related items.Somewhat of a specialist collection but impressive due to its age.If time allows, watch the short videos on show, dotted around the gallery.Cafe looked nice and inviting but didn't have time to try it.Added on to visit to Dublin Castle after the tour.

Fascinating exhibit on more than one floor. Gives insight into other cultures (orient) by learning a bit about history and art - as collected and donated by Chester Beatty. Well displayed, knowledgeable staff. Silk Road cafe on main floor was excellent as well. Quite a small gift shop, but variety of items for sale at reasonable cost. Interesting landscaping and public art on the grounds outside the library.

I came with a few friends and colleagues to explore the grounds as well as some of the historic religious documents on the top floor. I only had time to explore the room about Islam and the one about Christianity, and both seemed to have great relics. The staff was respectful, the design was elegant, the grounds were beautiful (especially for pictures), and the religious displays were interesting. I would definitely come again and bring friends if I were to revisit Ireland.
