This is a beautiful clean sand beach with loads of space. Lots of rocks for exploring and nice hotel nearby for food and supplies.

This beach is incredible, clean, fresh and at least 2 miles long. It is the ideal place to clear your head and free your soul. Could even cure a hangover !! just amazing and well worth a day trip. I visited on a windy day, but imagine in finer weather it could be a different experience, always good though.

I visited this beach in November last year, and like it "says on the tin" the beach is a lovely spot and ticks all the boxes, However!!! My wife and I were truly astounded at the amount of dog foul in the surrounding green areas and along the paths to the beach,it was that bad my wife managed to step in dog dirt twice in a matter of metres, subsequently we carefully watched our steps and thus noted the shocking quantity of it, how this beach made it to the best beach in the country i have no idea? Cork County Council or the hotel ground staff need to check this out!

A wonderful stretch of beach. A headland dividing the beaches with a beautiful amphitheatre to sit and relax.

really nice beach during summer with warm weather and the hotel is very close so you can get good food easily throughout the day.

Beautiful beach, my favorite in Europe, sand and sun.. Typical old Ireland is not here! Feels like a second holiday to spain! Beautiful beach, amazing view! Great for the kids.

Its a beautiful sandy beach with fresh air and just peaceful! There is a also great spot for food just at the hotel overlooking the beach.

Just outside clonakity in west cork is a fabulous long beach went the tide goes out it great for walking the road is narrow and is packed with cars in the summer weekends

Stopped by on our way out of Clonakilty. This is a stunning beach and we were the only ones on it apart from a Dad teaching his young daughter how to surf. Picturesque Ireland at its finest.

This place is absolutely heaven-winter or summer! You can surf (and swim!!) all year round here. Beautiful sandy beaches, fresh air and spectacular views.

Amazing beach, fabulous view and surf. Perfect to walk off that big breakfast! Stayed in inchydoney lodge and spa so looked out at this beach every day. Must get back in the summer!!
