The exuberance of stucco inside this church is a joy to behold. Its combines fun with formal and it is suggested that the Master Craftsman copied his mistress for some of the figures.

From the outside, this looks like just another old church. Be prepared for a jaw drop once inside. The incredible details in the wall and ceiling decoration makes this a place to visit when you have time to absorb all of the variety in each and nook and cranny. We were fortunate to have a knowledgeable guide who explained the history of the church and what the various carved figures represent. If you are fortunate enough to visit Vilnius, be sure to vista Sts. Peter and Paul's. Since this was part of a group tour package, I do not know if or what the entrance fee was. Some churches we visited had a donation jar rather than an entrance fee.

The stucco ceilings are very impressive. The church is located quite far to the east of the city; an advise: take the Vilnius city tour bus. They have stop included allowing you 10-15 minutes to visit the church

One word: impressive! It is impressive both from the outside as well as from the inside. One cannot miss this church as it is at the centre of Vilnius. The statutes adorning the church are imposing. Inside the church there is a chapel dedicated to St Caspian and it is absolutely imposing. This church is a work of art! Near the church there is a bell tower - it is also a must and the view from the top of the bell tower is awesome.

The facade can be misleading... We were also a bit disappointed but once you enter it is a jaw dropping experience..It is pristine white and lovely.. You feel like taking picture of each corner... And do not miss the glass chandelier.. This is near Gediminas Tower and walkable by adults...

Fantastic crystal chandelier representing the fisherman profession of the saint patrons. Like all old Wilno churches filled with Polish memorabilia. Touching.

When built in the 16th century this was far outside the city. So the church was protected by high walls against wild animals. The interior is unbelievable. Thousand of faces and figures in plaster - A short walk from the old city - now in a central part of the living Vilnius

Little more than 1 km east of the center near to the river Neris you’ll find this church. You can walk or take a taxi or the trolley bus from Arsenalo Gatve. This church looks very normal from the outside, but when you get in it looks like a croquembouche. It’s so much baroque so you will lose your breath. You can look for hours on all these ornaments and decorations and the light coming in from the windows makes it even better. I wonder why they have a Viking Ship as Votive Ship, have they perhaps been here? This church is a must when you visit Vilnius..

Fantastic baroque architecture and styling inside. A still active church, the statues have survived wars and Soviet occupation and are still in great condition. Well worth a visit.

Unfortunately, this church is a few miles from the Old Town, but it is highly de orated with over 2000 statues and plaster figures. It is truly beautiful, but some may say it is overdone with figures. But the foiures were put up to tell the Bible stories before most people could read. So this is the Bible in pictures.

One of the most interesting sites of Baroque architecture in Vilnius. It is situated a bit far from the main attractions in the city center, but is worth to visit in any time! If you look from outside it seems there is nothing special inside, but you may wrong. Go inside to see lots of absolutely amazing different marble sculptures. The decorations inside are very rich. The church itself is not open all the time, so check the timetable before visit.

The Sts. Peter & Paul's Church of Vilnius is a classical baroque cathedral beautifully situated on a hill. Its white interior is very fitting for such an elegant building.

This was an amazing church to visit. But you really need a guide to understand everything that you see. Our guide made it very interesting and explained every Little part of the sculptures and painting. I really liked the church.
