We were just too late to visit the Info centre but we had watched the movie (A bridge too far) and walking over the bridge really brought the story to life for us. Quite impressive to see how close the town really is.

The Information Centre on the Arnhem side of the Rhine is a must for anyone who wants to hear the story of the attempt to hold the bridge in Sept 1944. The Dutch gentleman who was on duty the day we visited was very enthusiastic, and most explicit in describing the events of the 3 day battle. Entrance is free, and afterwards we walked across the bridge( built in the style of original), to try and get some kind of feeling of what it was all about. Very moving experience.

A small but very informative exhibition about the 'Bridge too far'.Moving eye-witness accounts that make you reflect on what was sacrificed and endured by those who were there.

Arnhem a beautiful city ! Even more so when you understand it's history. The John Frost Bridge is scenic of the world war two battle. Driving over this bridge feels surreal.

The history surrounding the bridge makes it worth the stop. There is a small display and memorial by field gun just off the river bank. Do not miss the visitor's center. It is simple but gives nice display of the battle. The short bios of participants (British, German and Dutch citizens) made it real for my teen son.

Rebuilt... Not the original (of course). Nevertheless the place is the same and you can easily imagine the war time action.

Not a great attraction but when you realise what took place here it is awe inspiring. Just under the bridge on the north bank there is a great little museum. Lest we forget

I have wanted to visit this historic site for many years. While it is a bridge, it still resonates with the historic significance. I am glad that I visited the airborne museum first to put the bridge in its historical context.

Got here at last, been wanting to come since i was a kid, was pleased to stand in such a historic place and pay respect to our forces that lost their lives trying to take it.

A bridge with a very rich WWII history. There is a museum there that explain the whole story of the siege of Arnhem by the allied forces, which is very interesting. The bridge itself though...it's just a bridge.

There's a great little museum which tells the real story of the Battle of Arnhem, and not the one immortailsed by Hollywood.

A must seen one for the Arnhem city center and history.it's just a bridge, but so incredible important history took place around this brinde and the south and north river bank. The bridge and Airborne museum need to be on your agenda when visiting Arnhem Period!

I accept that the bridge is a post-war reconstruction, and little remains in the precinct that dates from the war years - but this place has an ambience that is hard to resist. So submit to the desire to cross it and be photographed on it. If you are there you know why it is important .

We got there early Sunday am so no traffic.Massive 3 lane dual carriageway structure - most of the Allies were taken prisoner as they had run out of ammunition - we stood on the allied side by his memorial stone, and you could imagine a Tiger tank rumbling over the crest of the bridge and you down to your last 10 rounds of ammo. Quite spooky. On the allied side at river level there is a small selection of paintings (weatherproofed) and artefacts including a gun.

The bridge itself is not much to see but the memorial to those who died in the battle is truly sacred. To realize that so many young men died fighting for freedom there, it is heartening to see the cemetary and the memorial.
