Amazing is weak word! Beautiful small island with amazing story from the past. Church is beautiul! Ask about some piece of art on the walls to hear breathtaking stories. View from it to the Perast and Boka bay is great also.

We took a boat from Perast to the tiny island on which the church stands. You only need half an hour to take in the church and the little museum but it is certainly worth the visit to view the many interesting artefacts.

I only had half an hour in this tiny island so I took a quick peek at the church and visited the museum for 1 euro. Found interesting items like household items, a chest and many art pieces & paintings in there which is worth a visit. There's also a small souvenir shop within. It costs 5 euros to cross the waters to get here.

Visited as part of a boat trip from Kotor. We had about 30 minutes on the island which is enough time to look around and appreciate the views of Sveti Dorde and Perast.

Once in kotor, you have opportunity to visit every part of Boka Kotorska Bay, and honestly-every place is beautiful, and full of history. This was a one hour short excursion for 15 Euros total from Kotor by boat. Very nice to see. When we entered Church, there was a ceremony on going, so we listened their unique singing . It was really interesting. The melody was unique and typical for islanders, sang on two voices. Outside the Church you can walk , it is good to be there, to hear story about the beginning of the building this place. Great adventure.

Everyone who visit Kotor should also visit small town Perast, with his lovely stone houses, museums, restorants and take a boat trip to little island and see church Gospa od Skrpelja. There are every 30 minutes boats that goes to and from the island and its not expensive for tickets. Entries for the museum is 1 euro.

Visited this Baroque-style church while on a Celebrity Silhouette cruise. We were on a guided excursion and had private access to the church which is fairly small and can get quite crowded. The interior is amazingly beautiful and rich in history. While there is no fee to enter the church, you do need to pay for a boat ride to the church.

This is a tiny island right opposite Persat. Apart from a church there is nothing else. We went there by a water taxi. They charged 3 of us for 10EUR and return. I think this is the best deal to go than to join a boat tour. We spent 20 min on the island and took beautiful pictures of the main land on return. There is one toilet in the island. So be prepare for a long queue.

This little island just off coast of perast is beautiful. It is spiritual & very calming. Once back on the waters edge in Perast I couldn't draw myself away. With beautiful back drop of the bay of kotor. Have lovely postcards to remember this place. It filled me with emotion that I will never forget.

This tiny church is located on a tiny island right across from the little village of Prerast in the Bay of Kotor, and the only way to get there is by water taxi, or a boat. There are many boat tours that go on tours of the Kotor Bay that usually go around the island from which you can see the church, but to go inside you must take a water taxi. There is literally nothing else on this island but the church, so you wouldn't need much time there - unless you want to stay and swim :)

This is a tourist stop on any Kotor Bay itinerary. The island makes for very good photos. It's blue top with light colour end brick contrasts well with blue skyline and water. The island has some lore associated with it and military significance. The main road passes on both sides of the church. There are boats to go out to the church but it is not open all the time.

Nothing to dislike. An extraordinary place that must be visited while in Montenegro! It is in Perast and you can enjoy some of the terraces first and then go to explore this unique place filled with faith and art.

I have been really suprise with history and looks of island and church and museum buiit on it. It was artificaly made island for 100 years by sailors in the of Madonna. In start has just a few squer meters. and then sailors started to bring stones with little boats.. Church is full of sacrament artefact which sailors bring there to thank ;Madonna. Unfortunaly, we saw just few hundred silver votive tablet cose are 2 000 now on exibition in SevilaIt is the place you must see with travel guide. Without you could not understand a lot.It is really specia place and we was amesing with visit.

We reached this chapel after 15 min boat trip which was rather pleasant...Negotiate your price carefully and don't give up too quickly, even if there's noone else out there to join you (ie share the price). These boats go back and forth several times a day meaning there's always another chance...Stunning location, significance and history of this place mean it's a good idea to pay a visit on a sunny day.Marvellous paintings & icons make it special on top of everything else... Apparently, this chapel is also popular among young couples (wedding ceremonies / engagement parties) so watch your space & enjoy the trip!Cheers.

My wife decided that she wanted to swim out to this island from the public beach next to the pirate bar.Noticing that the current was taking her away from the island we were immediately concerned.I took the decision to hire a canoe (€5 for 30 mins) and the 2 of us went to check she was ok (she was) On arriving at the island a lady told her she could not land as she was just in a swimming costume so we then had to go back and pick up her clothes and travel out on a water taxi (€5)Great experience and a very pretty church.Got the Geocache too!
