Sometimes walking is hard for me, but these paths are easy and there is lots to see. We happened to see some 4' fish (maybe Gar) and we really enjoyed it here. Also it us very close to the Manatee viewing dock.

Great trail to spend time enjoying mother nature at her finest. Lots of birds and the occasional alligator or two. I live close by and enjoy this place on a weekly basis.

Very true Florida experience. Nice boardwalk. Lots of nature and different plants to see. Can be a little hot in the summer time. Watch for flying bugs as well.

Great place for a walk...mostly raised boardwalk through the woods and along Turkey creek, though they have begun putting in some more primitive trails. Take a wander along the creek and see manatees, alligators, fish, turtles. Nice place to take kids because of the raised walk ways...keeps them out of the weeds, sand and bushes. There is also a small ranger building open to the public near the start of the walk.

This is a very nice boardwalk trail, and possibly we just visited at the wrong day/time, but we saw almost not wildlife. The boardwalk passes the creek, but vegetation has grown up blocking a lot of views.I would consider this a nice place to take a walk if you are in the area, but would not make a special trip to visit. Very nice area for local residents to visit. The library is right next door, so if when you visit, the visitor/nature center is closed, you can use the restroom facilities at the library.Easy to miss the sign at the entrance, so look for the community center. Turkey Creek is behind it.

It would be nice if trip advisor had told us this before we got there. The man at the house very rudely advised us that no dogs were allowed.

This little local hidden spot is an awesome gem for families to enjoy. Well maintained and family friendly. And its free !!! Slightly hidden though... behind the Palm Bay Rec. Center on Port Malabar. Right next to the local library. Handicap friendly also. the boardwalk has "gaps" that make a walker/rollator feel a little bumpy. But not enough to discourage a visit. Boardwalk is wheelchair friendly though.

This sanctuary consists of a series of boardwalk trails around and over Turkey Creek, which feeds into the Indian River. Visitors can also rent kayaks to navigate the waterways. On of the trails also has an exercise course built in. While there's nothing thrilling or exciting here, it's a wonderful place for a peaceful walk or kayak. I've seen manatees and turtles in the creek, and of course there are plenty of other critters (raccoons, squirrels, birds, fish, the occasional alligator, etc.). Since there are no fences separating you from the wildlife, a bit of caution is needed, since they can climb or crawl along and over the boardwalks. That, to me, is what nature is all about.

Natural Florida beauty. Great Boardwalk walkway , stroller friendly . Hot in the summer but shady . Bring a camera .

great way to get close to nature without hiking. All boardwalks and beautifully kept, and it's very peaceful. You can even go Kayaking if you feel like it.

Beautiful, peaceful place to take a walk and see natural beauty. The information center is very, well, informative. And the folks who work there are helpful and seem to truly want you to have a great experience. If you're thinking about experiencing it, I'd say "go for it". Enjoy!

I live close to the sanctuary and it is very relaxing to either walk through the Sanctuary or visit by canoe or kayak--lots of manatees, fish, and birds. If you haven't made the visit it is worth the trip.

Self guided...to walk the trails and discover all kinds of wildlife, we saw a gopher turtle on our journey.

We got to talk with one of the workers of the nature center employees and learned so much about the local wild life. We saw no gators but there were so many turtles. We will be back to explore more before we go home!

This park is relatively small but worth a visit. Several excellent nature trails and great views of the creek. The area around it is built up, but it is nice that this area was preserved so one can see the native plants and some animals as well.
