As part of a long weekend of skiing and snowshoeing, a group of five friends also greatly enjoyed a dog sledding adventure. Laura and Jeremy were very welcoming and explained many aspects of dog sledding, including the training, details about the various dogs and their personalities, and how much they love mushing (both dogs and humans). We got to spend some quality time with the dogs, all of whom were very well cared for and friendly. Once the harnesses came out, all the dogs were super interested in going for the run. We had three sleds with ten dogs each, so a few of the forty dogs had to stay behind. Seeing how Jeremy, Laura and Laura's brother worked together to line up the dogs in their traces and arrange for each dog to be in just the right position based on their strength and disposition was fascinating. Once we were in the sleds and bundled up, the real fun began. Husky Works has a private trail system in some lovely woods, so plenty of rolling hills for some real excitement. The mushers were always in good control of the teams and during the ride were happy to tell us more about the sport. Seeing the different personalities of the dogs was really neat - some are young and try to jump up to grab tree branches for fun. Others are more mature and just eager to have the chance to really run. The lead dogs were always very attentive to the musher and their focus and drive was incredible. Halfway through the sledding we stopped at a lovely handmade cabin with great mountain views for a warming cup of cocoa and homemade cookies. We had another chance to take some photos and mingle with the dogs, which was great. Back in the sleds, the return trip was just as exciting as the beginning. When we got back to the kennel, Laura made sure we had lots of good photos of ourselves in the sleds - she has an eye for a good pic with the dogs and was eager to make sure we had some lasting memories! We also got to help unhook the dogs from the line and let them back to the kennel. An all around wonderful adventure that we all were so happy to have had a chance to try out! Highly recommended!

We wanted something fun to do after leaving the slopes but before heading home and this was what we settled on. We had a really great time with the whole crew and loved the positive energy that Laura, Jeremy, and Larry all had. This is definitely a must do for anyone in the area if you want a new way to experience Vermont. Can't express our respect for this group enough, hardworking handlers and a hardworking pack, thanks for the tour.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this great adventure was....we will never forget it! Jeremy and Laura were incredibly welcoming and kind. They treat you like you are very dear friends or family. They are just so sweet, upbeat, happy, adorable, and cool ! This is not a "commercial" place. This wonderful family owns all of the enchanted acreage that you will traverse in your sled. They maintain the trails and provide you with a very safe and thrilling ride! The family lives in a small farmhouse right on the property where they lovingly raise all of their "fur" sons and daughters. They know each and every one of their dogs so well. This is their passion and their life. Laura and Jeremy will teach you all about the dogs and the technique involved in sledding. You will get a great education and have a thrilling experience. Along the way, you stop at a beautiful cabin that Jeremy built where you will be treated to fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate! This is a Vermont adventure not to be missed! Top notch!!

We came here from southeastern Mass. specifically for this adventure. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Passionate & professional, Husky Works mushers are inspiring. If you are a dog lover, this is the event for you. From the chorus of howls which greeted us to the very last hug (the dogs) & handshake (the mushers), we had an experience we haven't been able to stop talking about. In fact, 1 of the first things we did when we got home is uploaded pix & video on Facebook! It's like being on a History channel program! Laura, Jeremy & Larry took us in 2 sleds up & around the trails. What a rush on the downhills! The dogs just open up for the joy of it. The view at the top (with cocoa & cookie break) is sweet! These folks work & play hard & they certainly reap tremendous benefit. We were so happy & privileged. We've been singing their praises & hope to return again someday! Kudos to Husky Works & their beautiful Huskies!

We HIGHLY reccommend the husky rides by Laura and Jeremy!! Super awesome people and beautiful, loving, adorable huskies! Not to mention their scenic and breathtaking 4-7 miles of track that are full of adventurous hills. We felt like we were in a dream (coming from two beach-dwellers going out on a limb!!). Something you NEED to do in Vermont!

My son and I loved our experience at Husky Works this week. Jeremy and Laura were fantastic. Learning about the dogs and mushing was fascinating, and the ride was idyllic with a few faster downhills where it felt just right to say "Wheeeeeee!!!" Even little details were right, like the hot cocoa at the rest break being a perfect temperature so you could drink it right away. They were terrific about offering to take photos of us at stopping points and after the ride, so we have some great shots to remember our wonderful day. Thank you, Laura and Jeremy!

We didn't know what to expect when we got there, but very quickly the owners, Laura and Jeremy made us feel very welcomed. The experience included lots of education about the dogs, the sleds and everything that goes into the sport. We each got bundled up in our sleds and went on a ride through the most amazing trails. At the end we got to visit with the dogs that did such a great job pulling us around and we fell in love with them. I could go on and on about our experience, but suffice it to say, we highly recommend this trip!

We really enjoyed the trip with our two kids ages 6&7. One tip, dress warm and have toe warmers for all. The temperature was zero degrees. The owners were amazing, knowledgable, love what they do and besides we learned a lot about the dogs. All the dogs were well kept and loved by the owners. Highly recommend this trip.

As Brits living in Vermont for the past 16 months and avid outdoors people we both felt that this was hands down the best outdoor adventure we have experienced.Laura and Jeremy, who run the outfit are passionate and knowledgeable about their life choice and their personal and friendly approach just adds to the tour. The dogs are fantastic - hard working, happy and friendly. The trail is beautiful and the experience both exciting and romantic (my wife loved snuggling up in the sled). If you get the chance don't miss it - in fact make the chance; this is one must have for your bucket list.

I normally hibernate during the winter but this year I decided to kick-it up a notch and do something fun and out of my comfort zone........so I found this company online and knew that was what I wanted and to do and with their company. Jeremy and Laura were fantastic. The dogs were amazing, the scenery breath taking and the ride was a thrill. Thanks to their colleague Larry who also was very courteous. Our adventure was worth the drive from LI, NY.I would do it again

My wife and I went dog mushing last weekend and we didn't know exactly what to expect. We got there and the family was very welcoming and we got to play with the puppies as we waited. They have almost 40 amazing dogs that literally live to run. Laura and Jeremy and their adorable son Keegan are very knowledgeable about the dogs and about the sport of dog mushing and the sleds. They brief you on things at first and explain everything, then the dogs pull you up the trail where you stop and have some hot chocolate and homemade cookies before sledding down hill. The dogs can get that thing up to 15-20 mph and Laura does a great job driving. If you are in VT for the weekend it is a great break from skiing. We drove up just for the afternoon from NJ and would do it again.

We incorporated this into our romantic weekend getaway. Excellent customer service experience while booking the reservation. We were fortunate they still had tours open and the booking process itself was flawless. The tour is located only a short distance north of Mt. Snow and was not difficult to find. The owners, Laura and Jeff, were nice and very down to Earth. Laura provided us with our initial tour of the kennel and demonstrated the basics of dog sledding. Jeff took us out on the trails (which are located on their own property and were designed for dog sledding, meaning it is safer than other tours which might take you out on snowmobile trails). jeff took us to a cabin he built in the woods for hot chocolate and cookies. There was a great view of Stratton from the cabin. The ride was very enjoyable and, despite the cold temps, we stayed warm in the sled. At the end, we got some hands on time with the dogs and helped put them back in the kennel. Jeff and Laura took photos of us during and after the tour, which Laura promised to e-mail to us shortly. Overall, this was a great experience. I highly recommend that everyone visiting the Mt. Snow area go on this tour. You can ski any day...but the opportunity to go dog sledding does not come around very often. Take advantage!

Once in a lifetime, awesome experience. Jeremy and Laura have dedicated thier lives to these dogs and this sport, and thier knowledge and passion shows. The actual ride was obviously the highlight of the visit, but you also get hands on time and learn a lot about the dogs and thier care which was really cool. Halfway through the ride is a stop at a beautiful, hand built ( by Jeremy himself!) cabin overlooking Stratton Mountain, complete with cookies and hot chocolate. They were awesome about taking photos for you, and were in general so hospitable and friendly, highly recommend this adventure to everyone! What a cool family and life!

Do NOT pass up an opportunity to take a tour with this dog mushing company - it was the highlight of our ski weekend and one of the most memorable outdoor experiences we've had! The owners do a great job educating guests and explaining the mushing practice. The ride itself is a ton of fun - sitting in a sleigh being pulled by these gorgeous working dogs through the lovely forest trails was a real rush. Highly Recommend!!!
