It's a cool public market downtown Dayton close to Dragon's baseball stadium. It is in an old railroad warehouse. They feature vendors with fresh produce, homemade food, arts & crafts, potted plants & flowers, etc. We ate the crepes which were excellent. Blueberry lemon bread that we bought was outstanding. Chicken patties were the only other thing we purchased this time but we sampled bread, olive oil, cheese, etc. We spent about an hour here but could have spent another even though it's not that large, there is just a lot to see (and taste). They are only open Thursday through Saturday mornings and parking is free.

This is on the edge of downtown Dayton and has the feel of the old market in Charleston SC.The size could increase a little ( could use some more vendors) and they need to have at least 2-3 working ATM's but the fresh flowers, breads, fruits and veggies make it worthwhile.I was pleasantly surprised by the wine and craft beer both.Worth a visit at least 4-6 times a year if you live in this area.

Nice little spot if you have some time in Dayton. Found this place on my trusty trip advisor! Took a walk from my Hotel. Very friendly folk inside here. Found some nice local wine, local granola, local wine jelly, yummy soup. It was a nice little walk from downtown.

My friend & I came here and I was mostly expecting fresh produce. I didn't see as much produce as I expected but this is a super cool place nonetheless. There was a man making pottery on a wheel and several really cool artisans. There are lots of baked goods for sale as well. Just make sure you're hungry when you go because the food stalls are awesome!

Boasting many unique dining experiences, this is one of my favorite places to get lunch. The selection is great. Seating is a little limited, but not too bad. There is a good selection of vendors selling baked goods, jams and jellies, and craft items as well. It is a place to add on your must see list when in town.

It was very small. Not a lot of vendors. For it being a market I was expecting a lot more fresh food. There was more crafts, canned foods & fast foods.

While visiting family in Dayton, they took us here. We all really enjoyed it, although it was really, really crowded. We had a great lunch from a vendor with Columbian foods, and purchased some farm raised meats and homemade breads. It was a cold March day....but I'm guessing the summer Saturdays are amazing....more selections and an outdoor area also.

Whenever I get up to Dayton (which isn't all that often) I make a point to visit the Market if it's open. Some of the best bread and bagels I've ever had are to be found at Rahn's Artisan Breads. I especially love the seeded Levain bread. But there's more than bread to be found at the market (and there are other bakers here). Besides several artisan booths there's lots of great, fresh food, from fresh vegetables & meats to lots of choices for prepared food & drink. When I was here the other morning (much earlier than usual for me) all the available tables were taken up with people eating breakfast. It seemed every prepared food vendor had something for breakfast. If you come for bread arrive early & be prepared to stand in line. This place is popular and everyone has their favorite baker.

My husband and I always try to make it to the market whenever we can to get fresh produce, local meats, and other goodies. There are several vendors that sell freshly prepared meals that are amazing. The building is heated in the cooler months, and there are outdoor stalls as well in the summer. Tons to see and buy. Fresh cut flowers, fresh bread, honey, cheese.... I am getting hungry just talking about it all!

I go here every week! This place is so cute and has a lot to offer. It is open Thursday- Saturday and closes around 3pm. Not only can you buy produce, meats, breads but they also have places to eat. Here are my favorites; the Crepe Boheme is the best place for a dessert. Big Sky Bread has PIZZA BREAD, I get one loaf a week, I buy a little patch of cat grass every other week from the humane society and I get my veggies and eggs from KJB Farms. Bring your own bag and spend at least 2 hours to shop and have a great lunch. Parking is free and the busiest day is Saturday.

This location is also known as PNC 2nd Street Market, located in Downtown Dayton. It is a wonderful place to visit and if you are living or visiting Dayton, I highly recommend you visit this market. It is absolutely a delight with tons of local businesses and small restaurants. It is a long, open building that takes up about a block with booths set up with an array of items for sale. Some of the stuff includes a flower shop, bread shop, garden shop, tons of delicious restaurants, tons of locally-grown produce and meats for sale, cheese shops, etc. My favorites include:*All Souped Up (restaurant): this vendor has tons of delicious soups and sandwiches. I definitely recommend the egg salad sandwich on the croissant with broccoli cheese soup. *Blue Jacket Dairy: this vendor has the most AMAZING cheese!!! They offer samples to try before buying, and I absolutely love their cheese. I always buy the goat cheese and ludlow when I go to 2nd Street Market.*Spice Rack & Bulk Foods: this is a fun little grocer INSIDE the market. They have tons of stuff in here. A MUST TRY includes the Amish Butter… it is so incredibly amazing and they sell it!! *Rahn’s Artisan Breads: this vendor bakes the most delicious bread! I love the potato bread. They have lots of samples and varieties to choose from. *Landes Farm: They weren’t listed on the list of vendors on the 2nd Street Market website, but I do believe this is their name. She (it is normally a woman I buy from, hence the “she”) has the most amazing bacon I have ever tasted in my entire life, hands down!!*Dayton Urban Green: this vendor has a lot of.. wait for it… GREEN stuff!!! I have bought worm castings from here to use in my gardening. I have also bought a cloth vegetable bag. *My friend loves this place as well and pointed out that her favs include E.A.T food for life, Russell the Farmer, and Mile Creek Farm (she says this farm sells only the items that they grow themselves)There is so much to taste and sample here. This market gives us an idea of the local, green Dayton. TIP: There is an ATM on site for the convenience of the customers. Some of the businesses/booths accept credit cards/debit cards, but some only accept cash. TIP: Blue Jacket Dairy will give you a punch-type card where you can get a stamp for a certain amount of money spent or purchases made and then use it when you fill your card up.

Come join the crowd on Saturday mornings! Lots of interesting food and other vendors, lots of people, and often music. Bring home some organic meats, cheeses, honey, syrup, etc. The market will interest you and lift your spirit, as it did mine. A Dayton treasure.

It is nice just to stroll through the market. You will find many vendors from food to fresh flowers. What a wonderful atmosphere.

I've lived in the area most of my life and had no idea that the Second Street Market existed. I go all the way to Findlay Market in Cincinnati and travel to other markets out of state, but was surprised to chance upon this one day. Anything from cheeses to veggies, from giant soft pretzels to alpac knits...there is LOTS to see, buy, and taste. Housed in a historic 1911 B&o Railroad building, it is an awesome Farmers Market. We need more places like this in the area!

I love browsing around the market! There is a lot to see and taste. Blue Jacket Dairy has great samples including their grilling cheese! Yum! I have taken many out of town guests here and they all have loved it. Very unique gifts to take home. They also sell flowers. It feels like you should be in a bigger city than Dayton. I will say parking can be challenging if you go during prime time.
