This is a casual walking environment a little something for everyone. Food, beverages, history, large venue options, scenery. Make sure to walk along the Bricktown Canal or better yet, take the "water tour". Glad we did.

Im from Houston and did not know what to expect on my first business trip to OKC. I have to say, this are is a gem! I had a great time exploring and trying out the restaurants and bars along the canal.

There are many restaurants and bars to choose from. The canal ride is nice and relaxing. Many hotels to choose from within walking distance. Crowded on weekends, but still worth a trip! The OKC Memorial Museum is only a few blocks away. Carriage rides are offered around the area. Nice place to spend a weekend!

This was the biggest disappointment of my wife's and mine trip, Bricktown is currently under construction it seems and nothing much is going on there during the day, the water taxi service, wasn't running and wouldn't even answer their phones to hear the schedule. The restaurants mainly opened for dinner. At this point there wasn't no unique cool shops that is a must see, plus parking fees are pricey for what it is...... From the looks of it and the money being used it does have huge potential to be great in a few years.....

If you are staying in the Oklahoma City area you have to go to Bricktown. I suggest you do a little research and see where you can park and ride because otherwise you'll have to pay to park. But one good thing is the parking areas usually have someone stationed to take money and keep watch and that's always comforting. Once you have parked now the walking begins. Plan out what you would like to see or do. There are many things that goes on and there are many restaurants to choose from. Just make sure to take extra cash. It may be a little city but it has some big prices. But that's not all they have. Within walking distance there is a sonic and a McDonald's. Not my favorite places but in a pinch on a budget it works. The river is nice at night but a carriage ride is better. They both cost and they aren't exactly cheap. One of the best ways to travel is in a rickshaw. It's not as bad as you would think plus after walking and then stopping to eat walking is the last thing you want to do. So just do your homework a plan ahead then enjoy.

This is a place I have been wanting to visit for a very long time and it was just as spectacular as I had imagined it would be. Best attraction in the city.

Came for a business trip. I'm not a small town gal and this is very rural for me. Very flat & boring but I'm sure I will be back since we have branches there.

In my humble opinion, Oklahoma City is one of America's hidden gems. Aside from a smattering of chain restaurants, the vibe is similar to Austin and Seattle. Excellent dining abounds amidst many showcases of local artists and musicians. I suggest dining on the canal and leaving yourself enough time for a stroll through the very walkable sights.

This is a cute part of town with lots of shopping and restaurants. There is a water taxi you can take. When we were there, it was not running on Sunday evening. Bricktown is just a few blocks from the convention center and many hotels. It's only a short walk.

Parking is the only drawback if you want free, which is common after 6pm in OKC.Hotels are nice, attractions are fun, and good restaurants.

The are many choices for dining and drinking located within the district. Not too crowded during the week and within walking distance from many hotels in downtown OKC. Very nice atmosphere.

I enjoy taking my children to walk down the canal as well as taking them to all the different sights and learning experiences.

I was really surprised at how well planned out this attraction was laid out with an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and entertainment. There are plenty of hotels to stay at in Bricktown that add to the overall higher end feel to this part of the Oklahoma City area. It's clearly a "Touristy" styled layout/attraction, but they hit a home run as far as I'm concerned and gave me a whole new opinion from my last stay years ago.One of my favorite things to do was get something to eat at Fuzzy's, wash it down with an excellent frozen margherita and catch a movie less than a minutes' walk away. The whole experience for me was enjoyable each time I visited there, whether just having something to drink and people-watch or enjoying music at JJ's retro style bar. The river walk with restaurants along the waterway was really relaxing and added lots of appeal. If your going to be in the OKC area I highly recommend spending some time at Bricktown.

I'm in town often and always try to make it to the river walk. They did an awesome job on making something to see or eat for all types of folks. My favorite things are all the wild birds that stop by.

Good place to go to unwind and relax. Be sure to take the boat and listen to the story of downtown. Make sure you eat, even if it's just ice cream
