lockeford springs golf course

Just played here last week for first time. Much nicer course than website shows. Hole routing is a bit confusing your first time but you will figure it out. Wish I lived closer because this is a course I would play on regular basis. Nice practice area and clubhouse. Walkable course without being a huge workout yet enough hills to make it interesting.

That being said, some great bounces on the fairways! Clubhouse and bar are a couple of years away from a complete overhaul. Looks like they are putting in new flooring in the bar so that's good. Bathrooms are clean enough but they also should probably be replaced.Easy course. Wide open on most holes. Greens in okay shape considering the lack of water. Not many bunkers. Water used to be a problem on some holes but no longer. Hopefully, the rains will come. Easy to walk all 18 holes as this area is flat. Good deals year around. Sign up for their email announcements as they usually beat Golf Now and other sites. Free golf round one week before or after your birthday. Driving range has a practice green where one could hit a hundred or so golf balls if they wanted to, so this is a great place to practice. Large practice green too.High schools use this as their home course and many local tournaments are played here, so check with the clubhouse before showing up.

This course is a very easy course which offers great rates for evening golf. It is a relatively flat course with water on several holes. It is fun to play and does offer it's own challenges. Only thing when playing in the evening, don't look for a snack bar after the first nine. They also have a driving range and practice putting green.

The course winds around many acres of vines and the greens and fairways are well tended. We went on a very windy day, though! The dining room is casual sports saloon, with good burgers and four TV screens. Locker rooms are clean and attractive. The only downside is the spartan pro shop -- hardly any merch!

I've played Lockeford Springs many times over the years. It's a decent course, not especially challenging, but greens fees are reasonable and staff is pretty friendly.

This is a nice, fun, and fairly easy course. The clubhouse folks are very nice and will go the extra step to get you on;however, if you are a walk on, call ahead as Lockeford Springs holds plenty of tournaments. Has a driving range, free chipping range, and a good practice putting green. Pro onsite. I hear his lessons are damn good. Snack bar/restaurant . This place also hosts many weddings. As for the course, easy slope (117 to 121). Okay fairways and greens can vary; although, in very good shape last time I played. Easily walkable. Pace of play can vary and course marshalls on weekends have been a big help. Bathroom on 5th/11th and at clubhouse so no peeing in the adjacent vineyards! Screws up the wine!! Easy par 3's, some challenging par 4's (4, 11, and 14 are long and tough) and fairly easy par 5's. One of the best things is the price. Can walk for $10 in the early afternoon ($20 with cart). Hell, even if you don't like it, you're not out a $100. Cheers...or....fore!
