Beautiful only seen it as we drove by so beautiful it is so beautiful the State of South Carolina has beautiful attractions everywhere all over the State.

I liked the beauty of the property. The guard was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I did not like is that Nikki, the governor, is a republican.

We joined a small school group tour. The tour guide handled the group well, with humor and patience. Beautiful property, interesting history. Highly recommend, whether you're from the state or not. To schedule a tour, fill out a contact form online with preferred times/dates. Arrive a few minutes early for your parking pass if you can find an empty parking space (I've not seen it full anytime we've visited the area); come with coinage just in case. Bathrooms are in the basement of first building on the governor's mansion grounds (where you get a parking pass). If you are wheelchair bound or have trouble with steps, you should call ahead to ask if this would be a problem.

The grounds and gardens are simply wonderful. well maintained. nice place for a walk. The tour of the mansion is nice as well. Go during Christmas for a tour and the house is decorated quite lovely. There is a small gift shop located in one of the old buildings.

What a wonderful tour with a guide and we were the only ones that morning! It's a beautiful Mansion with so many intresting treasures in each room. Our guide works there and was very knowledgable which is what made the tour so interesting and enhoyable. I would definately recomend .going here! After the tour you are akkiwed to wander through the gardens for as long as you'd like.

We took a tour of the Governor's mansion. What a fantastic place. Fantastic gardens outside. The tour guide, Christian Green was more than excellent. His knowledge was extremely good and he was very warm, and friendly. I would highly recommend him. The mansion is beautiful and filled with antique treasures and historical artifacts. What a wonderful visit!

There are 3 houses as I recall on the grounds. Two on the south east corner (standing in front of the mansion) and then the Governor's mansion of course. The Lace house is on the property and is a beautiful old home that you should check out while there. The mansion itself is full of rich history and decor. The history behind the house and items within is so fascinating. You can set up a time for tours online at the states tourism site. There is parking around the mansion that is metered or there are other options near by. It is a neat place to visit if you are into the history or just into seeing a really nice house.

i took a tour with some of my senior friends from the y we really enjoyed the tour i will tell friends to do this tour. it is a definitely to see.

They have only occasional tours. It is interesting to see how the Governor's family lives. It's especially nice at Christmas.

Did this tour before going to the capitol and loved it. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. When i set up the tour I just assumed we would be in a group...not, we had a private tour and were allowed to take our time. The place is historic and beautiful. Thanks to all the staff.
