At first I was a little skeptical because of the price but it was AMAZING. So much fun! The staff was phenomenal. We had a good time. I would absolutely go back again.

It was a company outing. You know, the kind of thing that you expect to regret because, well, you WORK with these people. We stood around awkwardly, listening to the instructions, then we all struggled with getting the harnesses in place where they wouldn't bunch and chafe or cause humiliation in the inevitable photos posted on the corporate intranet. We laughed nervously as we practiced the safety clipping and unclipping procedures while still firmly grounded. Then suddenly there was a rope ladder, and it was my turn. Three steps up that ladder toward the first treetop landing and I was 8 years old again! They should rename "Go Ape" to "Go Kid" for those of us old enough to remember playtime before the Internet.Go Ape in North Park is five courses that all begin with a ladder climb, include tree-to-tree ropes challenges, sometimes offer Tarzan swings into nets, and end with a wild zip line plummet to a soft, mulched landing. This is an aerial act without the Wallenda craziness because you are always clipped to something safe. You have to be prepared for physical challenge, but the satisfaction of conquering each segment of the course completely outweighs the exertion. And like most things, you will remember the sheer fun of it long after your ape muscles have healed.

This was so much fun-- our group ranged from 18-53 and we all had a great time. I had googled zip-lining for my sons 23rd birthday near us and I found Go Ape Treetop Adventure. It was so much more than just zip-lining. It starts with the safety course and our guide did a fabulous job to ease any anxiety-- I felt completely confident after the brief. The 5 courses offer 2 levels and no matter which you choose you are in for an awesomely unique experience. It was great!!!! If you enjoy challenging yourself and being in the trees this is an activity for you. I highly recommend this to anyone in moderate physical condition who enjoys adventure. We hope to return and bring more family and friends.

A group of us went to the Go Ape Tree Top Adventure in North Park for my son's 16th birthday. I was a little skeptical at first not knowing what to expect and thinking it was a bit pricey but I absolutely loved it. It took us about 3 hours to complete the whole thing and it was worth every penny. I do have to say it was a little bit scary at first especially when you realize that you have to rely on yourself to get hooked up to the lines but once you get past that it's a blast. They give you a really good training in the beginning and they make sure you know what you're doing. You then climb rope ladders up the tree, you complete obstacles from tree to tree and at the end of each section there is a zip line waiting for you. The group of kids we took (ages 13, 15, 16, 17) loved it and can't wait to do it again.

I took my son and his friends for his birthday party. We had so much fun. It was physically challenging but I was so proud of myself and had a blast pushing myself to the limit. I highly recommend...My son and his friends loved it, too...

I'm petrified of heights. I decided to go one weekend in July with my 13 year old daughter who isn't afraid of heights. We live close to the North Park and this was our first experience on the course. The training if very efficient. The self-guided approach is still very safe. Even climbing ladders, one is protected from falling off. Needless to say, I was still freaking out on the first "test" course where they test you presumably to see that you won't freeze on the course. There is a Tarzan swing where one must jump off a platform through the air and grab onto something that looks like pirate ship rigging. I ended up doing all but one of the 5 courses. Each course ends up with a zip line. Later that month, my 13 year old went with my older daughter and wife on the course. I highly recommend for locals and visitors alike.

The tree top course and the zip lines are great! I must say, the whole relying on yourself to safely hook yourself up was scary and discomforting but as long as you listen to your instructor and pay attention to EVERY thing you do then you will be fine. This is definitely not for someone who isn’t a thrill seeker and if you can’t do a pull up then I would skip the tarzan swings/rope net. But if you decide to do it anyway but then find out you can’t climb the rope net there are people there to help you get passed that obstacle. It is also physically demanding. Over all I had a good time! It is also a good price and a great thing to experience with your friends. Lots of laughing.

I was extremely excited to experience Go Ape! Unfortunately, the day we had reservations, it rained all day without any let up. I was bummed but we went anyway since the website said you go rain or shine. I was disappointed to find out that you actually are allowed to reschedule at the North Park location due to rain. I had out of town people getting together to go with me, so once we were there, we decided to stick it out. That is the only reason for my overall four star rating instead of five. Had we known we could go another time, we probably would've done that. The course itself was so much fun and there were so many obstacles it was definitely worth the $55. I am in decent shape but not extremely fit and I had my 62 year old dad with me who is always in for anything. The tough part about this course is not the physical part but more so the mental aspects. You have to do things you normally would not do like jump off a high platform. The course is very safe; however, I think I would think twice before bringing a group of kids or even before bringing a ten year old (age you can participate). It can seem scary. We realized half way through, that you can cheat if you ever feel stuck. You can sit on your harness and pull yourself to the next platform. Not that I would suggest doing that because that can ruin some of the fun. But I wanted to mention that incase you are on the fence about doing this activity. If you are remotely interested, give it a try and don't give up because it gets easier as you go through it. Mentally that is. Some of the obstacles get harder, like jumping off of a tall platform to do a Tarzan swing. Everyone in my group vowed to do it and we all did. You just need to realize you are safe and just jump. But do it quickly because thinking too long can be your enemy. This is a must do for adventurous people.

My husband and kids (ages 11 and 14) loved this place. It was fun and challenging. They really enjoyed it and we’ve been talking about it all weekend. Unfortunately, I was not ready to take on the challenge. I let my nerves get the best of me. I’m disappointed in myself and I really hope I get the opportunity to try this again. Our tour guide was Aaron and he was extremely understanding and supportive. He was knowledgeable and stayed with us which really made me feel better about seeing my family up so high in the trees, taking on these challenges. I plan on doing this with them - all five courses - next time! This is definitely worth going! It is safe, fun and challenging. It’s in a beautiful park. And all the staff were kind and helpful. GO APE!

i did this with my 10 year old son and he absolutely loved it. He's already talked about going back. He even selected all the "extreme" options. i am even afraid of heights and i still managed to get thru it. i highly recommend doing this with your children. The whole course took approximately 2 1/2 hours (this includes the safety and "how to" presentations).

Three of us did this..I am 73 (female), a friend of mine, and my friend's granddaughter. We loved it. It took us about 3 hours. First we had some instruction and a chance to practice on the ground. We had harnesses and we were taught to always have at least one connection with the safety line. Then we practiced on a platform just a few feet above the ground. Next our instructor got us started on the course. It was challenging physically to climb the rope ladders, climb the cargo nets, and get from tree to tree on the various walkways. But we learned to trust the safety lines, and we loved it.When we were leaving, we walked by the places we had practiced, and had to marvel at how far we'd come...we were very comfortable in the trees.

At GoApe North Park there are 5 obstacle sites. Each starts with a ladder and ends with the ZIP LINE! It really is a Treetop adventure and one I enjoyed with my 10 year son who also loved it. Great opportunity to test your high wire skills! Being slightly fearful of heights I really wasn't sure if I could do this, but I made it through. Took the teens up the ropes and they had a blast! Highly recommended

What happens when the 2012 Senior National Steer Roping Champ from Centennial, Wyoming buckles up for a Go Ape Adventure? You have the time of your life! Last Saturday, my Champion steer roping brother-in-law, his wife and my husband set out for an adventure that has given us memories to giggle about for the next 65 years of our lives. Four hours of rugged, rigorous and ridiculous laughter over the challenging obstacles high in the trees over looking North Park and sinking to the forest floor on the five zip lines completely satisfied our thirst for adventure. Now, out of the trees, we are taunting our 30 something year old sons and spouses to even the score by inviting them to share our experience. Secretly, we just want them to be proud of us old folks and shake their heads in wonderment that we lived another day to brag about our achievements of balancing acts and flying through the air. Haven't had that much fun since my first roller coaster ride. This adventure should be on your bucket list!
