A great place to spend an afternoon or evening. Great for kids and adults alike. It's got lots of historic buildings with people dressed in authentic clothing there to show you how things were years ago. A great learning experience especially if you like the past. There is an old carousel as well as a room full of a an train set that completely fills up. The place is beautiful around Christmas with lots of lights and a play in the old theater of the Christmas Carol. Spend an afternoon here and you won't regret it.

Took our daughter's family to the Village for the train ride, stayed for the concert in the park. We all enjoyed both.

Crossroads is a great place to take the family. You can go for a couple hours or make a day of it. The younger kids really have a good time and they even get to learn a little bit while having fun. Crossroads Village was a 2 or 3 times-a-year stop with our kids when they were young (2-10) and now our grandkids are enjoying it with us. A ride on the Huckleberry Railroad is a must! It is a genuine old railroad train that the kids (and adults) are crazy about. An, if you can only make one visit in a year, the Village at Christmas is something you should not miss. It is beautiful! The "cast and crew" are wonderful and all the kids (young and old) have a great time.

The village has several old buildings that have been restored to their original splendor. The opera house is really a nice addition. You can purchase merschandise in several of the stores. There is snack type food available for purchase. At Christmas, the place is covered in beautiful Christmas lights. The opera house has a 20 minute play. Huckleberry Railroad is a 40 minute train ride on a vintage train. It goes thru town, near the lake and thru the woods. The train is heated and comfortable. You will see many Christmas lights from the train, also. Staff was friendly, on the phone as well as in person. Getting tickets online is very easy and convenient. Highly recommend a visit during Christmas and summer!

Had a nice train ride of about 40 minutrs. Walked the village and enjoyed the old homes and buildings. Everything was decorated for Christmas with lights everywhere and Christmas music playing throughout the town. Very well done and a fun place to take a 7 year old. I highly recommend it for family and visitors from out of town.

Crossroads is a great stop during any time, but at Christmas it is spectacular. The lights are amazing and the Christmas music piping throughout the park makes it magical. The train ride is a must to see even more incredible lights. The kids always like the show at the Opera house. This place is one of the best of it's kind and is a must stop for us every year.

Gathered the families and went to the village when the gates opened at 4:00. We had train reservations at 6:50. As the evening darkened you could see all the wonderful lights arranged throughout the village. A mini tram was available to take you from one place to another. The kids can see Santa in an intimate setting. The general store had great, affordable toys. One tree in the town was covered top to bottom, every branch, with 100,000 lights. An ice carver worked in one of the exhibits. Inside one of the buildings is a large old fashioned carousel. This is a must do at least once in your life... especially with children. Although there are places to warm up, dress warm in the winter months as it is all outside.

Just came from viewing the Christmas lights at Crossroads Village. Monday nights for 5.00 a car load. Beautiful, this is a annual trip my husband and I love taking. It wouldn't be Christmas without driving through and seeing how they've decorated. Things change from year to year and its always beautiful. If you haven't made the trip then you're missing out. It's well worth it. Best 5.00 I've spent all year. It's amazing, can't imagine how many people it takes to put all those lights up and do it perfectly. Thank you.

We were looking for a way to celebrate Christmas as a family in a different way.We did the Christmas Train ,lights, dinner and village on Dec.13th.The gates opened at 4:00 for the village. We had dinner reservations at 5:00 and train ride at 7:00.We brought our tickets ahead of time and made reservations at that time.It was a good thing we did as it was announced at 4:00 that all trains were sold out for the evening.'The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is like a walk back in time to tour the village. We entered the village when it opened at 4:00.(Check times as this was a special time for winter and Christmas). We walked around the village and the kid visited Santa. We went to the buffet restaurant at 4:50 and they seated us at 5:00.They had a table of 18 with two highchairs all set up.The buffet was set up to serve 4 lines, so it moved quickly. The food was plentiful and tastie. There were self-serve drinks of coffee, water and soft drinks. The dinner buffet included Chicken, ham, potatoes, salads, meatballs and noodles, mac and cheese. They had a desert table set up with a good selections of sweets. The food pretty good for a buffet serving a lot of people. We had time after dinner to continue walking tour of village. By then the lights were all on it was quite spectacular. We made it to the merry-go-round and ferris wheel. There is added cost to ride these but very responsible. We then headed up to train ride.We were told to be there to board by 6:40 for 7:00 train. We got there at 6:40 and most had boarded. We didn't think we would get to sit together but they had one whole train car empty just for us.It was perfect. The train is heated and very warm. The ride is fun with sign along music, some history of Huckelberry Railroad, and of course the lights. We had kids aged 2-12 and they all enjoyed the ride.I would recommend this everyone. It is easy to find and lot's of free parking.

I had planned a weekend trip to Frankenmuth and after researching things to do on Tripadvisor I came across this as an option. I am so thankful that I did because that truly was an amazing experience. The cost to get was $13.00 per person which also included a 40 minute train ride on the Huckleberry Railroad. (Also known as the Huckleberry Holiday Express Train) The entire village was a decorated with Christmas lights. All of the staff was dressed to the period which made you feel like you were back in the 1800's. A must see especially during the holidays!

An era of yesterday so nicely recreated awaits all. While the reconstructed buildings are fun/interesting to visit....the train ride of course is the highlight! The Christmas lights make for the perfect family gathering or romantic date night regardless of age.
