The site is a small interesting site that has been very well done by the local historians. The battlefield is well marked. The mansion is in a state of renovation, but has some very interesting things and the history of the battle is well done. Nearby is the Civil War cemetery. It's worth a stop if you like the Civil War.

This battle was unique in that it featured Native Americans on both sides fighting against each other. But if you are looking for present day representations of that time period, you will be disappointed. This visit is for the hard-core Civil War aficionado only.
