Wow! Wow and then some. The visual overload alone made this rafting trip a peak life experience. The guidance of the group at Adirondack Rafting in Indian Lake took it to the next level, specifically by TJ who was our guide. I experienced the extra care level of "surfing", some rock jumping, proper swim techniques and a great lunch break in the middle of it all. This is the place to go, have these guys take you on the trio of your life!

Most of my comments echo those of other rafters. It was a great first-time experience. Our guide (Dan) was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, often sharing a funny anecdote or the history of the area throughout the five-hour journey. All six of Adirondac Rafting's guides that day expertly navigated us down the river, which became quite apparent as less experienced guides from other companies frequently got stuck on rocks. The entire team was very organized and professional in outfitting us with wet suits and/or splash jackets before leaving. I, too, would recommend renting the GoPro (16GB memory card provided) -- the video is outstanding! I would highly recommend this company and this trip for first-timers and thrill-seekers (especially during the spring months) alike. Looking forward to taking the kids with us next time!

This was my third trip with Adirondac Rafting Company and this was the first one for my sons, ages 15, 16 and 18 and they loved it as well. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable and this is the safest way to go on an awesome adventure and learn about history and nature... and how to navigate Class III rapids! We will definitely be making this a yearly trip and we will be asking for our favorite guide Beth. I highly recommend this company if you've never been white water rafting before and are a little nervous. Lunch was delicious, the view unparalleled and the guides have a great camaraderie with each other and their guests.

This was the first time my husband, 16 year old son, and I had ever gone white water rafting. From beginning to end the experience was way beyond our expectations. Our guide Alli was so much fun and so knowledgeable. We all felt very safe under her guidance and the company as a whole made the trip down the river the highlight of our vacation! We would highly recommend this activity with this company. Thank you for a great day!

We had a great day, family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Morning was cool,wore top of wetsuit (which was clean) and splash jacket over that to keep water out. Crew made sure life jackets where properly fitted. Spent extra $ for go pro (so worth it) Loved our guide TJ, he was knowable and knew the river! We had some swimming spots, did some "surfing". He truly enjoyed his work and being out in nature (pointing out different birds etc). Every staff member was very friendly and I would go back in a second! Thanks!

I was nervous about taking my 13 and 11 year old girls rafting and took a long time to decide before I booked. However, I'm glad I did as this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The rapids were fun but at no stage did we feel unsafe. It did seem that the guides were concerned first and foremost with everyone's safety, and then concentrated on giving everyone a great time - which is exactly how it should be. Our guide was Nathan who was excellent - he seemed to be moving the boat around so that everyone got their share of being soaked. All the guides seemed to be similarly upbeat and experienced. The boats went out as a "pack" and each boat was looking out for the others - one member of our boat fell out and was picked up by the boat behind. All in all a brilliant experience which I would thoroughly recommend.

A great time was had by all - kids and adults. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. The kids were safe on the rapids and learned how to paddle a raft.

There are many rafting companies that offer trips on the Indian & Hudson River but from point of view, this company had the best looking and maintained equipment (buses, rafts) of all of them. The guides were fun and knowledgeable and in tune with their clients. Everyone had a really good time and we would all go back again. The couple that own/run the operation are caring and friendly and accommodating. We were all in one raft, ages 10, 13, 14, 15, 26 and 50's and everyone enjoyed it immensely. I would recommend renting the video camera ($50) because the video was outstanding and brought back a lot of memories. I would definitely go with this company if you want peace of mind and a great fun time!

We made reservations the night before and quickly received directions and confirmation email from Bob. They were very knowledge with time to arrive and directions. We did rent wet suit tops since it was chilly in the morning. The trip was enjoyable we had five people in raft plus guide. We experienced good rapids for time of year. Beth our guide was friendly and made everyone feel included. Lunch was good and filling. We had a turkey sandwich was not lunch meat but real turkey. Staff and operations was professional and also stressed safety. I would recommend to all.

We had an absolutely great time. Great experience on the water and all around. Our guide was terrific and there was constant action with rapids and swimming holes. I'd do this again in a second.

Had an excellent time on a Memorial Day wknd outing. Dan was a great guide - fun, positive, good leader, made the day enjoyable for everyone. So low-key and helpful, so talented at what he does. Was absolutely exhausted that evening - a heckuva workout. Can't wait to do it again! The wetsuit is a must, moving seats is a good idea, and jumping off the rock froze my nads but a lifelong memory.

Laid back and super friendly. River was great for our 9, 10, and 13 year old kids. Knowledgeable guide, esp. about local scenery & history. Would have liked fresh fruit with lunch and water bottles in boat.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to lake placid! The equipment was well maintained, the staff was nice. We were provided life jackets, helmets and paddles but due to the temp that day, we were able to rent full wet suits for $7. Our guide was very entertaining and helpful. I brought my 11 year old daughter and she had a great time. Overall, fun and would recommend taking the trip!

Absolutely flawless from start to finish. We had arrived a bit late but we were able to get out to the river quickly with a informative safety session prior to getting on the bus. Our guide Allie was a ton of fun, professional and encouraging. My brother tried taking a ducky down the river by us, where he was guided on how to take each rapidly safely and where he could have a little more fun. The lunches were delicious and homemade by one of the staff (he roasts whole turkeys for the sandwiches) and the area we stopped for lunch had a great waterfall to visit while we digested. The river is beautiful and it was an impressive 5 hour day from beginning to end. We had pretty good timing with better rapids than usual given the ridiculous rain the ADK has been getting. Overall I will be doing it again but maybe on a ducky this time rather than the raft. They did mention overnight trips which we also might partake in. Excellent value as well!
