We ran/hiked on the section of train near the Lake Placid Lodge. It was in good shape and very enjoyable. The section of trail that heads towards Ray Brook was more challenging and in the process of being re-done.

Great public trail. We enjoyed an afternoon skiing the Jack Rabbit. Wish we could have skied the entire length of it! Bring water and snacks.
