Thanks so much for posting! We pride ourselves on making every batch of apple cider with care and a select mix of apples. So glad you're a fan of it and the pies as well. We are open all winter and spring, so hopefully you'll stop in after the busy fall is over. Thanks again! -sharon

Just happened upon this farm after driving around for the day. Had the best cider I had in NY yet. Cider donuts and the apple turnovers were delicious too. Definitely worth the stop. They even have hard cider tastings in the back for adults.

We have been going to Soons Orchards since my daughter was a toddler (over 10 years) for pumpkin and apple picking and it is always a great experience! We look forward to it every year. The pumpkin patch is an ACTUAL PUMPKIN PATCH. Not a clearing with pumpkins put out. They are cut at the vine and sit where they grew...awesome! You take a nice little tractor ride to get there. The apples are very reachable, plentiful and clearly marked. They have been in business for over 100 years and their heart is in it for sure. The store has home baked goodies to take home and delicious apple cider and cider donuts. Home made hummus, fudge, cookies, brownies, pies...yummy! The only thing I can suggest is get there EARLY on the weekends during the fall. People come from all over and it does get very crowded with long waits. Other than that it is a wonderful place to experience!

Very nice selection of apples, cider and baked goods. However, if you get there in the afternoon, forget it, as the selection is very poor, with little left, especially if you are after the crumb-topped apple pie or apple turnovers.

We spent a beautiful fall day in the Catskills and ended it with a trip to Soons Orchards. So happy we stopped there for apples and cider doughnuts-I've had my share of apple cider doughnuts and Soons has some of the best ever! You can pick your own apples at the orchard a couple miles away, but we decided to just buy them. We also enjoyed some free tastings of hard apple cider, which was so good we bought some to take home. If you are looking for a fun fall day, the head to Soons Orchards.

Having grown up in the area Soons is a staple. I was visiting this past weekend and took a quick ride over to get some apples and other stuff. Turns out that Saturday October 6th was their 102 anniversary and because it was also Columbus Day weekend it was very very busy. Parking was down the road and the line to the register led out the front door. The apples were of course pretty damn fresh, the staff were helpful and the 1 apple cider donut I had made me want to buy 11 more. It seems that apple picking has become a main part of their business which is good. But parents don't let your kid run out in front of my car and then blame me because the kid cried when you yelled at him.

Nice compact U-pick and fun country store with good fresh made products. Especially good bakery. I always get their peanut butter and they have good squash.

WE will go out of our way to get corn at Soons- better than any where else. They grow several different varieties and so have good corn for many weeks. Great selection of apple varieties - try something the supermarkets don't have

A family business that has been there for at least forty yrs. Open August thru May. Their specialty is apples. They also carry other fresh produce, homade pasteries, bread, fudge, jams all delicious but a bit pricey. Fall is my favorite for the cider and doughnuts. Don't leave without their corn if it is in season.....It is the sweetest I've ever had.

Local corn, locally-grown apples (pick your own, too!), coconut-coated cigar candies, Scottie's Pies--there is nothing here that won't make you drool. Prices are fair and the staff are kind. A great place to go for local products.

Nannyskids, Actually, we don't have flowers in the summer - we are closed in June and part of July as well. (In some years we have had cut flowers available in August.) Our bakery offers pies, cookies, loaf cakes, muffins, apple turnovers, Irish tea scones, and brownies; plus we make apple cider donuts on site daily. Our produce selection varies with the season, since we grow many vegetables available in August & September; but we always have plenty of apples to go around! -Sharon Soons/Soons Orchards

Food is great, wonderful produce. The staff is always helpful, you will not find nicer people anywhere. I go to the bakery all year, best apple pie you will find. And the best thing they have added are the farm dinners, not to be missed.
