very spiritual and grounding. Loved it. You could just feel the history there. I felt a true appreciation for the TLC that was put into the place. Can't wait to go back.

The sculptures are thought provoking and lovely. Take a relaxing walk around, it will be memorable. Take time to read the background of each piece.

Not many visitors know that Dr Franck was a dentist who worked with Albert Sweitzer. His Pacem in Terris is a memorial to Pope John XXIII who issued his encyclical in 1963 right after the Berlin Wall went up and there was a Cuban Missile Crisis - that conflict did not have to be that way if one believed in divine intervention. The memorial recounts the suffering of people over the past 100 years with each nail in the post representing the loss of so many thousands of lives from the Holocaust thru Dafur and other places. The converted mill serves as a temple of sorts where one automatically whispers in from of Pope John high up in the corner. The sculptures all are symbolic even the most well known one called "Seven Generations" representing a native American maxim that each generation should leave the earth better for the following 7 generations.

This a lovely place to visit, alone or with a friend. The sculptures are beautiful and blend with the surroundings. I would not suggest taking rambunctious kids, it is meant to be a calm peaceful quiet area. I have been here many times throughout the years and it has always been a nice experience.

Peaceful location and thoughtful sculptures but did not like being instructed not to take photos. The stream location was critical to its effectiveness . A bit difficult to find.

It's quite, bucolic, and a nice quick visit. I would not say that it is worth going out of the way for though. Finding it alone is tricky, as there is no prominent sign, and then parking is basically a guessing game since there is no official place to park.Overall, if you are in the area and have free time, and it is pretty out, drop by and have a few peaceful minutes outside.

I've been to Warwick on many occasions and I was going to stroll downtown when my sister suggested Pacem in Terris garden. We spent an hour wandering the three peaceful sections of the gardens. It was a very interesting place and worth the visit. The walking is on uneven terrain however my 90 year young mom was able to walk most of it or sit on one of the many benches to rest or wait.

We planed on spending the day in Warwick but did not want the Apple Fest crowds . We almost missed this place again . We had visited so many times over the past 30 years but never stopped in . Were we glad we did . It is just as peaceful as everyone has touted it to be . Not a rush in and run through type of place . It was a Saturday before noon and we only ran into 2 people the entire time we were there . It is divided into 3 separate areas . Do not miss this stop if you can make the time . Not a place for loud talking or rambunctious kids , it would spoil the serenity . May not be too handicap friendly due to stairs and uneven ground but can be if assisted by family and/or friends .

The site is a work of art dedicated to peace on earth. A lovely settling beside a babbling brook. Quiet - country quiet.....

This makes a wonderful little pit stop. The venue for concerts is quite interesting, and the strange sculptures juxtaposed with the beautiful peaceful landscape makes for a lovely stroll. Just remember that it isn't a picnic stop but a place for a stroll and some quite meditation.
