Would be a lot better if the older woman at the desk actually greeted us when we came in. Instead, she grumbles under her breath, "Why aren't these kids in school today?!" when our home school group comes in. Too pricey for one room, and why do adults have to pay?! That's a first. Seems aimed at young toddlers. Definitely not worth coming in just to be ignored by unfriendly staff. Have visited for years, but this lady is a grump...not worth the trip anymore.

One big room but our kids (2 and 6) loved it on a rainy day. Adults have to pay admission which is a first for us having visited many kids museums.

This is a great place to teach your child socialization skills. There are many activities and learning toys for the kids to play with. There is a tree house, books to read, a kitchen that is set up like a restaurant, a bank, there is a construction vehicle in the building that the kids can climb on, a train set that you can push buttons to run the trains, a slide, building blocks and so much more.

My 5 and 6 year olds had a great time! It was hard getting them to leave! Their 9 year old cousin was there with them and he seemed to have a good time as well, but that might be the maximum age I would recommend for this place. Lots of fun exhibits for such a small space.

If your child is under the age of 8 and loves to play make believe - this place is perfect. It has about 20 activity areas that are perfect for a rainy day break. Its hidden in a shopping center and the word Museum is misleading - think more like a children's play gym - with toys set ups donated and created by local businesses instead of bouncy matts and slides. Features a touch tank, tree house, diner with dishes/counter/stove, bank, craft station, construction zone with a dozer, pipeline slide, stage and other fun activities.

as a childrens dicovery museum it is very well fitted with interesting things for children to explore but it is very small and after about two visits the children tire of going there. why not expand it?

Space is used inefficiently, the museum feels as though donated items were thrown together without any intention or thought to imaginative play. If you are stranded in Augusta on a rainy day and need to entertain your kids, they will enjoy it. This is NOT worth a special trip, though.

Out of control kids, on edge mothers (only one other father in view and he seemed to be arguing with a mother), broken toys, non-working exhibits and very pricey. The kids did NOT like this one.

My kids had a great time. It does get a bit crowded especially during the weekends or school vacations.

The good:My 2 and 4 year old had fun.The bad: It is not a museum. It is a open area, one room.... where kids can play with a bunch of stuff. It looked like a big daycare room with toys and stations to play.Neat for local people, rainy days, low key days... But not worth a big trip, or getting all excited about.

Nothing was wrong with this museum; it just did not offer enough for the children I took. The children I took like to be active with outdoor games (hiking, swimming, etc.) or with their electronic toys, so they were hard to please. Kudos to the folks working to build up a children's museum.

It was advertised as a "museum". It was really more of an open play area. The kids had a great time as they did like playing with the toys. We had a hard time finding it as we didn't expect it to be in a little strip mall tucked in behind another strip mall. Many of the toys were dingy and needed a good cleaning. Many of the exhibits (school bus, trains, computers) were broken. Despite all that, it was a good place to let the kids play for a couple of hours.

What a great place for kids to play! Back in June I brought a school group with kids ages 3-10. The 9 and 10 year olds were skeptical. Some went in with a bad attitude. We told the kids they had the power to make their day bad or good. Of course, it was a longer conversation than those words, but that was the gist. After some mumbles and grumbles, everyone was smiling, laughing, and having fun. This place has different stations set up-- drama, restaurant, bank, store, construction, art, music, tree, etc... Kids can freely play at the stations using their imaginations to take them where they want to go. I even played with the kids. We stayed about 2 hours and that was plenty of time for everyone. I look forward to going again! The place was geared for pre k-2, but even our fourth graders had fun. It was all about tapping into your imagination and having a good attitude--something we all need. The volunteers were super too!!!!

i am highly diappointed. first off they shouldn't be allowed to call this place a museum. it's in a shopping plaza in a space the size of a subways. i will say that my daughter had a good time though. i was just expecting something like the children's museum in boston. i was looking forward to many trips to this place especially the sleepover in sept, but after my 1st visit i am not sure i will be making it back any time soon.

I will start by saying my children (ages 1 and 3) had lots of fun -- and that's the only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one. The toys were worn, dirty, and broken. The space was small. And, the staff sparse and unsmiling. As someone else said -- signage was desperately lacking and Google and my GPS had the directions wrong.
