If you're on vacation through New England and need a potty break, just take a stop and you can say you saw this. It's not much of a sight, so don't expect a lot.

Not much of a destination, but a fun pit stop if you're driving through New England! (Especially if you're into weird roadside attractions, like I am.) Bryant Pond was the last town in the U.S. to give up on hand-crank telephones, and in 2008 they decided to build a huge freakin' monument to celebrate it. The thing's 14 feet tall and weighs 3,000 pounds; it's hard to miss, especially since there's not much else of note around it.No gift shop that we could see, but you can climb all around it and take as many photos as you want.
