The Behringer-Crawford museumIs an unlikely institution in an unlikely place. More or less, it is the history of transportation in Northern Kentucky, from native canoes through the international airport. Trains, steamboats, and so on. But it is a small museum with a small collection that is quirky and utterly charming. Perfect for kids 5-12. They also have the single largest collection of art made by Harlan Hubbard, latter day Thoreau, who lived a deliberately simple life in a cove along the river, and painted and wrote prolifically. The museum provides a rare opportunity to learn about this modern hero.

Enjoy this museum so much, I bought a membership this year. It is currently constructing a new display but this did not deter our enjoyment much at all. The trains on the first floor are lovely with bubbles the kids can go through a tunnel to stand and watch the display from the inside. The Christmas trains are seasonal and fun to see and interact with. The history and river displays are very interesting and set forth with fun activities for little ones to enjoy. The museum is smaller which adds to its appeal. No pressure to see it all yet packed full of information. There is a small gift shop with some great 'gifts'.

What a great museum! They have the last streetcar to run in Northern KY & a wonderful model train display with amazing detail. There is a 1959 Buick that you can sit in & watch movies. There are lots of activities for children including several "dress up" areas. The temporary exhibit about Vietnam was very moving. There is a lot of history about Northern KY which we found interesting even though we are not from Northern KY.The museum is located in Devou Park. Our GPS took us right to it. There is ample parking, just follow the signs.

Lots to see and do at the Behringer-Crawford Museum. They have a holiday train display and lots of fun things for kids to do and for adults to look at. On Thursdays in the summer they have a concert series that is very enjoyable. You can also buy a year pass to get in all year for one low price.

There is much to offer here. Even if you are not from the area there are things of interest that you will like. Go around Christmas when they have some special Christmas displays. Its fun and educational for the kids.

Tucked away as a small blurb in the travel guide we received when we checked into our hotel, this amazing museum is a MUST SEE place for the whole family. So many interactive, learning, and just interesting (2 headed cow!) delights await you at this massive and painstakingly maintained museum. Be sure to add it to your travel plans, the whole family will truly enjoy this special gem.

The museum is fun for families and people looking for some local history and color, but we absolutely love going to the 7pm music offerings. Some of the best Jazz, Salsa and Rock and Roll. They usually have food and beverages. $5 is a small investment for a great night out. Bring a lawn chair to ensure comfort and a place to sit.

We've lived in the area for 2 years but never knew about this little museum. It was a lot of fun exploring the floors learning a little more about the growth of Northern Kentucky over the years. I especially liked the drive in movie display. Trains are fun, too!

Located in a beautiful setting within Devou Park, this museum is a hidden jewel in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. The Price is Right, the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable ; the exhibits and displays are top notch. It's a wonderful place to take children, however also just right for adults. If you have an hour or two then this is the place to go. Gain information about local history, and enjoy the special exhibits that bring you even more information on a global basis. You'll be glad you did and you'll tell others - like I am with you.

We went to the Behringer-Crawford Museum and explored all four floors. From the old-time trolly to the "village" it was a great experience. It is a wonderful place for those who love Lionel Trains! We had a great time!

This was great! Found it from Groupon, but was super impressed. Tucked right within Devou park, is this great museum with Cincinnati/N KY history. From how this area was geographically formed by glaciers to how it became the area it is today from a transportation and cultural standpoint. Also gives info about cultural icons from the area, and you can't miss all the mini-train replications and other old war artifacts and notable moments from history. You can't beat the price even without a groupon! It's definitely worth a visit. I came with a friend, but it's very kid friendly with cool stations for young children to enjoy while adults learn the history.

If you are searching for a totally relaxing evening in a beautiful outdoor setting with great music, Behringher-Crawford is a smart choice. We joined as members for the first time this year to support this wonderful organization. The museum is interesting, full of nky history. The music on Thursday nights is a bonus! We have attended four concerts this year and each one was a toe-tapping experience! Even if you work, it is a nice evening since the music ends by 9 pm. The variety of beverages: coffee, water, beer, wine, bourbon is available from local vendors, in addition to delicious food. You don't have to be members to enjoy the music. The $5 admission is charged to everyone. If a member, you get a free drink ticket per performance.

Planes, trains, rivers, and roads. You get to learn about ALL aspects of transportation that made our region what it is - in one place. Fantastic setting in Devou Park. Take the kids to the park for a picnic and stop by the museum for a couple of hours.

An interesting museum of Northern Ky and Cincinnati history. Really enjoyed the Harlan Hubbard exhibit and movie. Used Living Social coupons which were honored after the expiration date which really was appreciated. Lot of things for kid to do also.

Interesting tid-bits about Ft.Wright, Ft.Mitchell, Ludlow, Covington, Newport, etc. - I enjoyed this because I'm am from the area, but I don't think this anything an out-of-towner would like. Although, it is so cheap, can't hurt to check out if you're interested in the history of the Cincinnati Area. We went through it pretty quickly - maybe an hour and a half, but again, it's so cheap it was worth my few bucks!
