We took all four grandchildren to visit Santa this year. What fun. Santa was believable, picture taking was done, we viewed the two or three story Christmas tree with the most elegant decorations and to boot a gingerbread house contest/display was there. Inspiring! And afterwards we went to feed the ducks in the park across the street. Not enough ice for skating when we were there, but the pond saved the day for the Pond Hockey Classic thiz year!

Back in time. This is a beautiful old mansion any time of the year, but is especially something to see during the Christmas season. There are so many aspects to take in, its almost impossible to see and retain all the visuals with just one trip. If you are touring mansions, this is one to check out.

I've been to the Mansion several times, including Christmas when it is surely at its loveliest. Let your imagination roam freely when you walk in the door and take the tour. The family history and its importance to Kalispell is equally interesting.

I love the Conrad mansion and the tour was informational. Highly recommend it. Our group was really big so we didn't get the time to stop and look as much so go sooner than later.

I went two days after Christmas. The tree was beautiful and the Christmas decorations were lovely. The guide was very knowledgable and we learned a lot about the history of the area. She spent a lot of time on the tour showing us almost all of the 23 rooms. At the end we were able to look around on our own and she explained some of the antique toys to my grandchildren.

We had stayed in Fort Benton, MT on our way to Kalispell, MT. That is where we first learned of the Conrad family. While in Kalispell, we toured the Conrad Mansion. There was an additional interest having first learned of the Conrad family in Ft Benton. Also learned of the "Southern Connection". The bothers came west after the Civil War.

This place is fantastic! You have to want to hear about local history but if you are into it even the slightest the tour is worth it. We had a young lady as a tour guide who connected with everyone and even had a young girl following her every move toward the end of the tour.

I loved this tour! The tour guide knew just about every tiny detail about the Conrad family and the beautiful home they built! The house is impressive even by today's standards, but when you consider that all of it was built over 100 years ago, it gives you a whole new perspective about how far we have come as a society and culture. I would definetely go back- The 10 dollar admission is well worth the price. Just make sure your rested before you go, because you will be on your feet for a good 2 hours.

I took a friend who was visiting from Arizona who is a history buff. It ended up just being the 2 of us the guide who was very knowledgeable about the mansion. And even though I often take visiting friends to Conrad Mansion I always pick up something new. The guides are volunteers so they are there because they want to be. There are often themed showings so to speak and the preservation and the history seen is priceless.

It is always interesting seeing the history of your city. This is a great tour and fun to see how the Conrads lived.

This is a lovely old home with rich and fun family history. The grounds are lovely. Our tour guide was very young, nice - and knew her material well, but . . spoke so quickly that it was hard to follow. A couple of times people on the tour asked her to speak more slowly, but . . .it didn't happen.

My daughter, mother and I visited the Conrad Mansion on Oct 11, 2014. It was a great tour with lots of the original household items. The tour guide was pleasant and well informed. I would recommend this attraction to anyone who appreciates history and antiques. Smaller children should be watched carefully as the house is full of prized possessions. I only wish I was there for the ghost tour. I can't imagine how fascinating that would be!

We arrived in Kalispell on a trip to Glacier National Park. The day we got there, it was rainy and cold, so we decided to nix the park for that first day and instead take in a museum. Our hotel had a list of local attractions, so we made it to Conrad Mansion just in time for a tour. I have been in many historic homes, and we were certainly not disappointed by this one. The grounds were lovely, and the house was amazing, particularly the use of arches and woodwork. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and answered any questions of the group. And we thought it was a novel idea to have a "house cat" living there! We were amazed that such a home could be built in 1895 in Montana, given the ways that materials and furnishings would have had to come out there. If you like visiting old homes, you will love this! I'm kind of glad it rained; otherwise, we might have missed this one.

This was the home of the founder of Kalispell, Montana. In 1868 the Conrad Brothers came to Montana from Virginia, arriving in Montana with a Silver Dollar between them. The made a fortune in Fort Benton and them moved to the site that would be Kalispell, Montana 1895. The Conrad Mansion is special in that the furnishings are 95% original and the home is filled with items the family actually used or wore regularly. When you are in Kalispell, Montana during the summer don't miss this tour. It is great history of Northwestern Montana.

I have been on many house and mansion tours and this was one of the best. Our guide, Cyndi, loved the house and family history and our one hour tour turned into 2 lovely hours. The house has original furniture and clothing of the Conrad family for over 100 years. Guide shared the sad history that resulted in the house remaining in original form. It was a terrific morning especially after 6 days of hiking, forests, lakes, mountains and bears.
