Ended up here on a mystery hotel deal. It was okay, a bit dated, leftover of the beginning of a modern era. But, it was clean enough, and it fit our needs very well.

We went for the New Year's Eve bash and I'd never stayed there before so I assumed it was a really nice place. I was wrong. There were stains on the hotel rooms floor that I'll just say looked a little suspicious and could tell the bathroom wasn't cleaned very well. The party was ok but overall it wasn't worth the cost at all! I would never stay there again unless they did some major renovating. It may have been a very nice, high end hotel at one point in time, but it definitely isn't now.

This is by far the best kept course in the area......It poses a variety of challenges and is well maintianed....Price is too high for the area..........After golfing here it is hard to golf at any of the other local courses...

This is not what I expected, for a 'resort' style golf course, course was over packed, slow play, fast play, narrow fairways, bathrooms locked, no ranger. It needs a lot of attention, and the bar needs staff with customer service skills, and the menu needs flavor, it is quite expensive for basic Sysco bar food.

My wife& I stayed here for a week in the timeshare condos. The condos,while clean, need some seriousTLC. The unit itself was spacious and located on the fairway of their signature hole. The place has potential but needs some serious upgrades. The linoleum flooring is from the 50's and the bathrooms,again , while clean, are probably 1960's vintage. While it was able to serve our basic needs, upgrades tothe kitchen and bath areas would go a long way here. It did have a high def TV in the living room.The lakeside golf course is very good and reasonable for guests and Seniors on Thursdays.

I think this place is resting on its past reputation. It's time to put some money into the place. There were holes in the walls and ceiling. Bathroom had mildew and was dirty. Carpet was dirty, linens were old. Disappointed. I enjoyed my hamburger at Legends, however.

I had my wedding at Lakeview on June 14, 2014. It was perfect. Shelby and the Lakeview staff were absolutely amazing. They made sure everything went perfectly and right on time. They went out of there way to make sure my husband and I were happy all night long. The food tasted great and there were many options. The bartenders were awesome and were very helpful with our crazy friends. They let us keep the wedding going longer than expected and were awesome at managing a large wedding with 50+ hotel rooms all coming into town for the weekend. We also had a brunch the day after the wedding and also was perfect and the food was great. The rooms have been renovated and they are very nice. The gazebo where our ceremony was recently repainted and it looked awesome. They did a great job organizing our first look and making sure that my husband and I did not see each other all day. Thank you again to Shelby and the Lakeview staff for making our wedding weekend absolutely perfect. I don't know if I could thank you enough :) If you are looking for a wedding location in Morgantown you can't beat this place!

Great food and service, and very reasonable prices. The view of Cheat Lake was beautiful. Very convenient to the Stockett Inn, where we stayed for the week-end.

I stayed here for a conference. I will not return. There are much better options in Morgantown. Aside from a decent gold course and a lakefront setting, this place is a dump. The hotel needs torn down and rebuilt. The setting gives it great potential. The hotel rooms and facilities are run down and dirty. There was mold on the ceiling and in the air conditioning unit in my room. The furniture and linens were in terrible shape. There were food wrappers and crumbs by the bed side table. Dead bugs by air conditioning unit and under bed. Room service trays with old food remained in hallway for several days despite complaints to the front desk. Conference food was terrible.

Lakeview did a great job hosting out golf event. Steve, your staff all around, top shelf. It's a great getaway for the Pittsburgh area for the whole family. Can't wait to play again. Thanks

This place was beyond disgusting. Our room smelled of dog urine and the tub had black dirt in it. I will never stay here again and do not recommend it.

I stayed at Lakeview last week for a meeting I had with my Company. Everyone went out of their way to help my Coworkers and I. Everyone was very professional and the Resort was very clean and well organized. I hope we have more meetings here!

Hotel is not up to date.. Very old outdated and dirty .. The smell of mildew in my bathroom was bad.. Stay 5 min away at any other hotel.. Golf is good
