This was a very fun waterpark. There is a lot to do. There are also some very fun water slides. If you are looking for a fun water park near Huntsville, I think you will find it here.

Fantastic water park for families and kids on the Tennessee River with beach into a park with zero entry wave pool, lazy river, diving platforms and boards, multiple water slides and great young child areas. Great food and plenty of room for everyone, great shaded areas and picnic spots.

Nice park. Many of the residents are long term, but the park is well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Restrooms were older but clean and in good shape.

Great fun for the entire family. Super wave pool. Ample sitting for those who just want to watch the action. Spend all day. Check the Chamber of Commerce to see if there are any coupons around.

A friend and I decided to play golf at Point Mallard as it had been 15 or more years since I last played there. Turns out they had a special running and $25 for cart , greens fee and a lunch was a great deal. It was open play but they got us out on the tee box in 15 minutes. Course was is great shape. Fairways nice and wide and the greens were some of the best I have seen in quite a while. Staff was friendly and the pace of play very good. Lunch was a turkey sandwich, chips, candy bar and a drink. This special runs Tuesday and Thursday and is a super deal. I'll be back. It was great golfing experience

If it's summer and you like waterparks, if they haven't got too many buses bringing in the masses from Birmingham, the Point Mallard Waterpark is a great day spent! Wave pool! Olympic pool! Kiddie Splash pool area! Concessions! Lazy River! Water flumes! Clean! Really a diamond for the city of Decatur. Decatur Parks and Rec are a highlight of this town and so much more is available at Point Mallard! If you are a camper, the campground is ideal but make reservations around the Balloon Jubilee on Memorial pre-Day weekend! or July 4th! Perfect climate in the spring and fall and gorgeous! If you are a runner or biker, the Bill Sims bike trail which runs 3 miles each way is phenomenal, running along the river! Pt Mallard golf course is fun! Plenty of tennis courts! Soccer fields for tourneys....The entire park is a delight! and, if you're into the waterpark thing, especially as a kid, Point Mallard Waterpark is for you! A very affordable family vacation if you have a camper and want to spend a weekend or a week! Highly recommend!

Took my two children there on 08/17/14 and was disappointed. To ride the waterslides much at all you have to rent a tube float for $5/person. That's after the $20 entry fee plus an $8 locker rental. There are only two waterslides worth riding (blue) and the tornado looking ride is so poorly made a rivet cut my daughter's back! The women's locker room smelled foul and did not have adequate toilets. All in all, a pale comparison to other water parks in the south. Blah.

Just a fanatstic water park that incorperates the Tennessee River with beach into a park with zero entry wave pool, lazy river, diving platforms and boards, multiple water slides and great young child areas. Good food and locker rooms with blow up stations for inflatables. Plenty of room for everyone, plenty of shaded areas and picnic spots.

We took our 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 1-11 to the waterpark (along with their parents) and overall the children had a good time, but I'm not sure we would return. We did not realize that the waterpark was divided into two distinct areas. We parked in the lot next to the newer part and this was a mistake because the activities for small children were in the old part and that was a very long walk (at least 1/4 mile). The website did not make it clear that you needed to rent tubes for many of the slides nor did it give the advantages of renting rather than waiting in line for a very short ride. The biggest disappointment was with the maintenance and lack of cleanliness of the spash and slide area for small children and the bathrooms/changing rooms. The blue latex slides on the rocks for small children were disintegrating. Large children were allowed to be quite rowdy in this area and this made it difficult for small children. There was no one monitoring the cleanliness of the splash area and by mid-afternoon the water contained a lot of debris. Although there was an attendant doing some cleaning in the bathroom/changing room area, it did not seem clean and many of the commodes were without tp.

Our family goes there every once in a while, seeing as how we leave about 40 minutes away. Once we get there, we buy our tickets (20 dollars each), the kids usually head to the speed slides, and the smaller toddlers head down with adults to the kiddie pool, and at the end of the day we usually head to the wave pool. Overall, it's a good experience. I advise you bring your own food, and hide it in your bag, since they don't allow it but don't search your bag. The rides are limited but fun, and the height limit for the rides are pretty reasonable. Overall, a great experience

we visited the park on an afternoon in August, 2014. the park is split in 2, each side approx 1/4 mile apart. the east side has more activities. My wife fell on a walkway which was covered with moss and water she received a few cuts. The medical staff was not helpful. Overall the staff was lazy and unresponsive.$20/ adult is overpriced for a park with such limited rides.

My children love to go here! We come here every summer. We do always try to go on half price day. You want to get there early so you can rent a tube, as they tend to get very busy after lunch. The attractions are far apart, so there is lots after walking. Bring flip flops! Also, there never seems to be enough lounge chairs!

The water park is okay, over priced, poor cleanliness, very crowded with kids that are dropped off for the day. It's a good place to visit once or maybe twice, but then you won't go back.

Loved this place as a child and hate to have to give it a bad review but ..when you pay $40 admission you should be able to use their attractions. My husband and I walked from the east side of the park to the west side for the Lazy River, payed $8 for a locker, and then walked over to the inner tube rental stand only to be told, "We're out of tubes." We walk all the way back to the east side of the park - they also have no rentals left so we end up buying tubes from the souvenir shop. After walking back to the west side to the Lazy River entrance, we sat our towels and sandals nearby and got in with our tubes. About midway through, a life guard starts furiously blowing his whistle and screams at us to get out Immediately. We do - thinking maybe some kid crapped in the pool or something. The problem was our inner tubes - were not rentals from THEIR facility. We explained the entire park was out of rentals . We could understand if we brought gigantic mega tubes or floats or if it were but these were smaller than the rentals. We also noticed other personal floats and tubes in the water so not sure why we were singled out.We ended up having to walk all the way back to our stuff by the entrance barefoot on an extremely hot pavementTo top it off the park closed 3 hours earlier than the posted hours of operation

This a great place to take your family for the day. They have a big wave pool and you can use a float or jump the waves They have a Olympic pool also and water slides and a really nice are for the small children to play. A beach area if you prefer or a reading area by the lake. It is reasonably priced and the food also. They have added a lazy river and it is ok but I do not care for the tubes they are to high in the water.. I love to visit this park. Also there is a campground here as well for the ones who enjoy camping and many other activities...
