Aaron guided me on a king salmon float down the Kasilov in June 2014. This guy is the best. Just Aaron and I in the boat.He picked me up from my campsite dropped me off after the float . Even though it was not the height of the run we picked up two nice Kings, while other boats with more fisherman got skunked. Even if we had not caught a fish it was a great day on the river. Learned a new word " Banky", you will have to call Aaron for a proper definition. I can't wait to go back in 2015.

I could not have been happier with my fishing experience last week with ACE Fishing Adventures. While the majority of the fishermen were struggling to catch fish, our party of 3 had our limit of salmon by lunchtime. Aaron knows what he's doing, has top-notch equipment, and was an absolute pleasure to fish with. I highly recommend ACE Fishing Adventures.

I was concerned because the trip was booked for myself, my son and my grandson and neither of the latter two had much experience. In addition, the daily limit had been reduced because the run wasn't living up to expectations. However,Aaron found us a patch of sockeye and we managed to bring home a cooler full without going through the challenge of "flossing" and snagging. I hope to return for late-season coho sometime in the future.

Guys,I certainly appreciate your review, but would like to clarify a few things. To start never once was it said that you would be in my boat, that date my boat was book over a year ago. I always mentioned that "WE" ACE Fishing Adventures would be able to take you out, never once did I mention that it would be me. I also stated that the difference between the two species you inquired about (King Salmon, and Sockeye Salmon) required two totally different techniques and never mentioned that we would be fishing out of a boat, rather using a boat to either fish for King's or travel to the sockeye destination, you chose to fish for sockeye. We took you the very best spot on the river at that time, unfortunately the fish had not been cooperating and have been late this year, however the other person in your group found his limit right next to you guys quite quickly. Fishing changes from day to day, while we try and stay on a schedule it often requires some last minute changes to ensure that you have the best opportunity to catch a fish on any given day. The last minute time change was to help aid in your chances at catching fish, luckily the gentlemen that accompanied you on the trip was gracious enough to wait for you guys to arrive that morning. I have never lead a potential client astray or fed them with false hope, I simply state the facts of what we foresee in the year to come and what our best opportunities may be. Historically for as long as I have been around and on record the river should have been full of sockeye on that date, this year it was not but that is out of my control. You booked a half day charter on the Kenai, it is a 5 1/2 charter as stated on the web site and in our emails. We never overbooked you like an airline often does, the fleet is allowed to book two half day charters each day and everyone generally does so to accommodate people wanting to go fishing. I certainly appreciate you review and we will take this into consideration in the future to better the company.

Aaron Cooper of ACE Fishing Adventures is hands down the best guide on the Kenai. We have fished with him 10 years straight.. Every year we come home saying "that is the best vacation ever.." Aaron expertise in knowing right where 'the fish are' will turn your trip into a dream come true. Will and Bev Draughon

We caught so many huge rainbows fishing with Aaron! We had a blast! An eagle sitting overhead kept swooping down to take our fish; such an awesome sight! Aaron even snagged one of the "hard to get" sock-eyes for our dinner. Would highly recommend Ace Fishing.

Anyone considering a trip to the Kenai has to consider using Ace Fishing Adventures and Captain Aaron Cooper for trips of a lifetime. I've been fishing with Ace for nearly a decade now and I have no doubt that Ace is the BEST guide service on that amazing river. Every trip has proven to be fantastic. Even on the years when no other guides were putting fish in the boat, Ace filled our tags EVERY year. Not only is the fishing fantastic with ACE and Captain Aaron, but honestly, he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. My wife and I consider him to be a good man and a good friend. After years of fishing with Ace, as well as other guide services on the Kenai, I will tell you that Ace has far surpassed any other guide service in knowledge, skills, and service. All that and a great guy too. I could not recommend anyone else on the Kenai in good faith. Thanks Coop! We look forward to many years of future adventures with Ace Fishing Adventures.

My wife and I fished with Aaron this past August 2012. The lodging was VERY comfortable and offered not only tremendous scenery but was only steps from the Kenai River. Travel to all key areas, Anchorage, Kenai, Soldotna and Homer were a simple, scenic drive from the lodge. We caught all of the main species, trout, salmon and halibut, several until we could barely hold up our arms. Aaron is an extremely knowledgeable and adept guide, and accommodates all fishing methods. Aaron worked hard to make sure our Alaska trip was the adventure of a lifetime. The ACE Fishing Adventures boat, tackle and equipment we used were excellent and Aaron's advice, lure and fly selection were spot-on. Aaron was personable, accommodating and obviously interested in ensuring his clients have a "Total Alaska Experience." I suppose the best review comment I could offer is, if asked if we would consider Aaron Cooper and Ace Fishing Adventures if we were so fortunate as to be able to return to Alaska, the answer without hesitation would be YES!

Thanks Thad,As always it is a pleasure to fish with you and Hunter, and has been fun to watch Hunter grow as a young man over the year's and his excitement when the bite is on! As you mentioned often trips to Alaska will throw the occasional curve ball at a person, and when this happens it often takes a group effort to make the situation at hand a non issue. As in your case a simple phone call to my good buddy and Capt. Mike was all it took to ensure that you were all set for your day out of Seward, even with your delayed arrival. While I try and fit everyone of my guest's onto my boat while fishing, I take great pride in having assembled the best guides in our area to accommodate our guest when not on my own boat. Not only are these my colleagues but they are also my good friends and buddies who often we share countless winter days enjoying the other side of Alaska together. Because of that bond and friendship it is easy to make last minute adjustments to simple problems that may arise during one's stay, it is also a great peace of mind for me knowing that my guests are in very capable hands, as always I will never put anyone of my guests out with another person unless I have and will fish with them personally. It takes a great deal of time and dedication to be proficient and successful out there fishing, I focus my time and effort on the Kenai, while my guy's out in the salt are masters of their craft as well. What they can put people on in a heartbeat would take me countless days and months to be confident and successful out there. I am glad they are part of the team. Teamwork, friendship and dedication to our guests have made ACE Fishing Adventures what it is today, I'm not about to stop there as there is always room for improvement and reviews like this help hone those edges. Look forward to next time with you guys!! Coop

Robinson's,While your certainly all a little rough around the edges to look at all day, you make up for it in the fun category. I truly enjoyed our time fishing last year and showing you what this great state has to offer. It is always fun when I have the opportunity to hang out with the group after a day on the water. Not only do we get to swap lies about what happened out on the water that day but I get the chance to know the group a little better, and getting to know your and your family that much more was very enjoyable for me. I hope you guys get a chance to make it back up here, I thoroughly enjoy taking Joe's money on the golf course and hopefully Danny boy will do a little off season strength training so he can reel up those monster Halibut. Thanks Coop

A friend and I decided to take our families to Alaska for a great vacation and to hopefully try our luck at some fishing on the Kenai. I contacted Aaron Cooper via email and told him briefly our plans and desires for a great vacation. Aaron responded with some ideas for dates and some options for lodging. We quickly decided on an early August trip to avoid the crowded fishing of King season and booked our airfare. Aaron took the time to find us a perfect cabin with access to everything we needed for the week we were there. Aaron suggested a few days fishing and a few days for sight seeing. We booked two days on the river and took his advice for a Seward Fjord tour. The trip was amazing and the fishing was fantastic. Ace fishing is a top-notch charter with great gear and knowledgeable staff. I have fished for salmon my entire life and would recommend Captain Coop and Ace Fishing to anyone who wants to catch fish. Thanks for a trip our family will not soon forget!!!
