Drove past Frontier Town on way to Assateague and saw the BIG shark out front. Couldn't resist stopping as Jaws was a big part of our childhood. We took pics, hummed the theme song, and repeated the line from the movie about needing a bigger boat several times. Of course this was lost on our younger grandchildren so we explained it many times.

Hi there. Yes, we were hit with some snow storms within the last couple weeks, but the campground is not open this time of year. We reopen every year in Spring - for 2015, it will be April 3rd.

Hello. To clarify a few points, our steam train was closed for repairs for a short time this past summer. We've corrected that problem and gotten it back up and running safely. As for seeing no one running the paddle boats area, that should not have happened and we will address that issue. In reference to the High Ropes Adventure, I'm not sure if you had a chance to see the entire park, as there are 3 separate courses suspended throughout a great deal of forest, the highest of which has elements 40 feet in the air. In any case, we appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that the activities here did not suit you.

It is our practice to send someone in Guest Relations to check on anyone we hear has been injured, and unfortunately, it seems as if this time the message got lost between departments. Other than this mishap, it sounds like you have a great time on your long weekends with us, and we do sincerely hope that both families involved will continue staying here at Frontier Town!

There is a fee to visitors to use the Water Park, but it's free when you camp with us, which we hope you'll do in 2015!
