This is state court of two Indian states and is always over crowded.any way this is nice place to see the interior architecture and designs of building. The visitors can get entry pass and may visit till open hand monument and terrace also. The open area and terrace area gives magnificant view of sorroundings and green space of chandigarh.

The building design is terrible, a concrete jungle, should never have been built. This is another Le Corbusier example of how not to design and build.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court serves two States, as is evident from its name. Located with the Shivalik range of hills in the backdrop, it presents a nice climate to the weary litigants and advocates. The building is imposing too.

well its a work place and nothing to do with any trip :-) . . you cannot enter as a visitor and you have nothing to watch except cases :-)) ha ha ha ha . .

Do not miss the insides of the building like the court room and the terrace areas. You can either take a pass from outside the high court to visit the building from inside, or just coax the guards and have them to allow you a short visit inside.

Si vous êtes de passage à Chandigarh, ne manquez surtout pas la visite des 3 principaux bâtiments construits par Le Corbusier. High court en fait partie et vaut le coup d'oeil. Des colonnes et des murs colorés (vert jaune rouge) contrastant avec un édifice austère. Vous commencerez la visite accompagnés d'un policier pour garantir votre sécurité puis vous continuerez la visite seul dans une salle d'audience magnifique. Déco et mobilier intacts des années Le Corbusier, un patrimoine gigantesque que les indiens eux-mêmes ignorent: mon mari et ma belle famille sont de Chandigarh et aucun ne connaissait le prestige architectural de cette ville.
