We love to eat here and relax and take in the view. Excellent food reasonably priced. The zoo is included with the 20 piso admission price. Dolphin island is just ok. The cost of the boat can be a little high unless you are willing to wait for more people to share the ride

This place is a sick corner of the Earth. The dolphins live in shallow water with nothing to do. They were captured from the wild from their families, within miles of this place. The animals do not live long here, they die of stress and shock that captivity causes. Dolphins are incredibly intelligent animals and they have larger brains than humans. They are all individuals and they recognise themselves in mirrors. Captivity kills them, they are kidnapped from their families (they live in tight family groups all their lives) and they live short, sad lives in places like this. You do not go to his place if you care at all about the well being of other individuals. This place is sick, and the men running do it only for the money.

The last time i came here is also my first time to visit. It was 10 years ago, as far i can remember it was early January of 2004. At that time there's a lot of renovation going on and also has very limited spot as compare to what it is right now however it never bother us to wander the park anyway. It was an invitation from my friend who happens to live in Ozamiz City and one of the person who helped build this park at the beginning. We traveled from Maningcol to get here pretty accessible enough. When i came here I thought that what they did was very clever to set up a Aquamarine park like this one and also helps to promote Tudela at the very least. Back then i was a happy kid to see a mangroves uplose or bakawan in tagalog if im not mistaken. you will see a lot around the premise though, also I think this what makes the Misamis Occidental Aquamarine Park so unique becoz the mangroves. Hoping to visit again soon if time permits me since looking at the travelers pictures makes me want to go back.

Parks are for strolling lightly under cherry blossoms (when you're in Japan) or watching marine life when you are in Misamis Occidental. Interaction with marine life such as grouper, sea bass, and dolphins are limited to feeding as touching is prohibited. Preservation must be maintained and ecotourism observance is a must. Since this sanctuary takes about 10 min by motorboat to reach, the whole experience is rather a water activity in a nutshell. Other wildlifes are stationed near the entrance of the bamboo bridge. Mangrove trees, seldom seen nowadays proliferate in the park. Good for throwback days.

When we were here, there were no dolphins in the artificial dolphin island. We were sad for just maybe a minute 'cause we were more excited to snorkel. Seeing that the place had a vast expanse of mangroves lining the coast, we were expecting lots of fishes. True enough we weren't disappointed. The fishes we saw there were even better than the ones we saw in Dive and Trek in Anilao. And the coral species were bountiful, even growing on the cement posts of the artificial island. Actually they built this island over a sand bar which disappears at high tide. I guess I was sort of relieved that the dolphins got away from their "island" which was really like a big pool the same as you would see in SeaWorld. They didn't deserve to stay there too long, but I admit I was curious to see a dolphin up close for the first time.

Coming from the USA we are spoiled with glitz and glamour. This site is just family fun. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. You don't feel rushed at all. It was just a pleasant day!!!

If you are a nature and sea-lover, this place is for you. If you want to come here, you can opt to visit the wildlife habitat, or fish at their fish ponds or visit a restaurant located right by the sea. Much better if you visit nearing sunset time to avoid the heat of the sun during 12 noon. You can also choose to go to the dolphin island which is a 3-minute ride from the park with applicable fee. All in all, the experience was great.

The place is very nice but the staff is not good. No lifeguard to monitor the visitors swimming . Its to expensive for dolphin feeding and swim with them for only 20 mins.

After exploring Tinago falls and Maria Chirstina falls, our next destination was Ozamis to play with the dolphins. We road the bus then we boarded the ferry to reach the place faster. We actually almost got lost because the signage was too small.Luckily the locals helped us to locate the place. The place was big and you can stay overnight in a very cheap price. The activity was also cheap. We spent 500 overnight and 600 for the activity with the dolphin which is already good for two.We saw many people visited the place too.We enjoyed our adventure there. It's a great to have discovered such place. It is the only one where you can interact with the dolphins in Mindanao and the cheapest in the Philippines so far.

I was traveling with a group of UCCP and UCC ministers. This was a beautiful place, The bamboo bridge with amazing! I was sorry that the monkeys were chained to the trees, but they could move from tree to tree. There were lots of varities on animals, and they seemed well cared for. This was much nicer than any zoo I've seen. We walked down the pier and there were calm waters. It was a great place to start off the sunset. I do have to say there was a lot of security. There were soldiers with rifles present. Many of the UCCP ministers teased about another UCC minister who just went off on his own. They said he must not be afraid of Abusaif! Because of this I knew we were not in a safe area, but it was calm and peaceful! A truly beautiful place!

We have been in this island as it was recommended by my brother, but my kids and i were disappointed, from the entrance gate, the gate keeper were ask us to drop us and park outside since the governor in that place will arrive(especial treatment), then boat fare is not reasonable for 300 pesos each including children, the as we arrive in the island, only 3 small dolphin we've seen and you can swim with them at 350 pesos each... and the food, @ 270 per order and good for 2 person ONLY,, soft drinks litro @ 120 each,,,,, weeeeeeeee...less than an hour we decided to depart from that place since i felt the disappointment of my kids,,, then we decided to go to Mt. Hoyohoy, Tangub.... at 30 pesos entrance fee.. its worth for the place.......

If you go to this place, about 20 minutes from Ozamiz towards Oroquita. leave in the morning so you have all day to enjoy swimming with dolfins, dive or just relax in the Island restaurent

The dolphins are in shallow water and a small space. I was told they used to have more but once they are rehabilitated they are released. After seeing the 3 in the shallow water, I kind of doubt it. They looked pretty healthy, I doubt they are going to go free since they are the big attraction. They need more space. It was a good experience though, we fed and pet the dolphins, then went snorkeling to see the big clams and fish. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was pretty decent. I would love to believe the dolphins would be released and others in need would be rehabbed, but I just don't expect it to happen.

The entrance to MOAP is P10. Once you enter, you can see a shrimp farm and other ponds for other purpose. You will enter the wharf entrance and pass by a mangrove swamp. On your right, you will see a small house that is actually the administrative office.I am lucky to met Joy, the person in charge of the office. The bridge to the pier is a long but nice one. The bridge stretches out to the sea and the morning is warm and the sea is calm. The boat ride took about 20mins. As a matter of fact, you can see Dolphin Island from the mainland.Dolphin Island is actually not an island. It is a man made structure on the shallow part of the sea. Once you enter the island, you will soon see the dolphin compound. I went to the restaurant and pay the balance. I use the credit note and I just pay what every balance I need to. The fee will include life vest, guide, mask, fins and about 500g of fishes to feed the dolphins. The first dolphin came and snatch the fish from me. The feeling is awesome. We then proceed to the deeper waters and feed them. Since there are only a few fishes, I quickly ran out of them. The dolphins then start to swim around me. The most memorable moment is one of the dolphins is just in front of me and look at me. It whistle and sway his body. It is so adorable!Dario also added that diving is no longer offered in MOAP.We then proceed to snorkel around Dolphin Island. The area around Dolphin Island is full of corals. Unfortunately, the amount of corals is considered little compared to many years ago. Dario said that the fisherman uses dynamite fishing and many corals are damage. Now it will take many years for the coral to grow back. According to one of the marine specialist, it will take at least 6 years just to grow one inch of coral.Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the snorkel. We saw giant clams and many fishes. We even saw some clown fish hiding in the coral. It was at this time when I look back at Dolphin Island, I find it so beautiful. The clear water, the structure and the clear sky. It is such a beautiful landscape.

The highlight of our trip was supposedly the Dolphins Island. It was okay but not worth seeing the Dolphins with only limited space. There should be seven of them before but only three were left. You will have to pay Php150.00 if you will snorkel with the Dolphins but we felt so strange to do it.These Dolphins should not be in shallow water with limited space. The ride to the island was okay. Our boat guides were friendly. We could have seen these big clams if we did the snorkeling but we opt not to.The area seems not popular anymore because there are not so many people there. We could not buy any souvenirs or tshirt in their shop because they dont have enough small bills for change.
