Thanks for taking time to share your experience with others. We have since improved measures to reduce equipment failure by weekly inspecting and also improving the gear. We are also ensuring our instructors which are all bilingual in English and Spanish communicate properly with students. We do offer a great trip which takes beginners and intermediate riders to a very friendly shallow water location. Ask us about it. I am really glad you gave us an opportunity and would like to hear you continue engaging on the sport. It's always recommended to dive into learning kiteboarding with multiple days of training in order to get more comfortable and progress quicker. I highly recommend considering the 6hr course as your starting point but for the more serious, at least 3 days of training will get you there. Thanks again!!!

I took two lessons with Jon Davies in early August and had a great experience. Jon was a great teacher and it was obvious that he was interested in me learning. He customized the lesson to fit my needs, and took some extra time with me at the end to ensure I had it down. Safety was also a priority with his instruction.The whole group at 15 Knots was helpful and willing to work with me. They accommodated my schedule and rescheduled me when the weather didn't cooperate. After my first lesson I found a coupon at my hotel and they reduced my first day charge without a problem. The equipment all seemed to be new and in good shape. They will try to sell you some gear, but they're not over the top about it. They all seem genuinely interested in you having a good experience. Their location in Isla Verde is also convenient. I would recommend them to anyone that wants to learn to kite board.

JC and and the 15 Knots crew have a fantastic team of instructors - on the new 2015 Cabrinha gear. Can't wait to head back in December through March for more kitesurfing! Top notch!!

My family was in San Juan for 3 days prior to taking a cruise. We went to 15 Knots just to check them out, as my son and I have been taking lessons in North Carolina. Luckily they were able to give us lessons at that time. They even took my teenage daughters out for a tandem ride, I didn't even know this was possible, but 15 Knots has perfected this. The entire staff is dedicated to kiteboarding, they seemed to enjoy seeing our progress and we are better now because of our day spent with them. Also they are located on a great beach with facilities for non kiteboarders too.

I took a 4 hour lesson with Jon Davies. The quality of the lesson and the Cabrinha gear I rode were top notch! Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and helpful. I felt a connection with Jon and owner Juan Carlos. The radio helmet I wore allowed Jon to speak to me while I was riding solo. I felt very comfortable like he was right with me. I would definitely recommend 15 Knots to anyone wanting to learn kiteboarding or to take their skills to the next level!

I just came back home from PR and I must say that Kiteboarding Tandem was an amazing experience. I tried it for the first time and I LOVE, LOVE IT! Also instructor Felix and Juan are very friendly and very professional. I can't wait for another chance to get on the board :)
