Very nice chapel, a lot of history. Nice quiet area, road needs to be paved. I like the vendor selling handmade religious items.

As our tour bus nears the chapel, I notice the white crosses spaced along the edge of the road - these represent the 12 Stations of the Cross. Every Easter local residents participate in this religious ceremony. Located not to far from the town of Noord, the Alto Vista Chapel is a small but charming chapel with a nice view of the ocean. So many churches are closed to the public. So, I was pleased to see that we could go inside the chapel. This is definitely worth a visit.

Visit the small intimate church and walk the peace labyrinth behind it, then follow the rough path to the sea. It's a rocky dramatic surf unlike the serene water at the touristy beaches on the other side of the island.

I'm glad our ATV guide Geert made it a point to stop here. All I can say is go here. The first time we went there was hardly anyone there. Thee is a wonderful man who had a van/tent setup outside the Chapel. They sell water, trinkets and candles. Please buy something from him. You can't beat the price of the water, only one dollar.

We arrived in Aruba on a cruise ship. Instead of taking one of the ships tours we opted to get a taxi for the five of us and for $20.00 per person he gave us a 2 1/2 wonderful tour of the island. The same itinerary on the cruise line's excursion would have bee $49.00 per person plus gratuities. This was a superior option. The island is safe and pretty and the taxis are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend. Our taxi took us on a great trip through the island showing us all the sights. This chapel was on our itinerary and it is cute and you can go inside and take pictures. On the way to the chapel our driver pointed out the 12 stations of the cross leading to the chapel and explained that at Easter people congregate at the first station and then take the walk up to the chapel praying at each of the 12 stations. The service in the chapel has gotten so big that people are outside surrounding the church for the service. Interesting and cute. There are vendors outside the church but no one bugs you to buy things. A bottle of water was $2.oo so definitely not a tourist trap. Worth the drive to see the beautiful ocean and coastline. I am sure at one time Aruba was much more beautiful but like all islands the grand hotels have taken precedence. Nice part though is that many of the beaches are accessible to the locals.

Very tranquil location with awesome views of the north coast. Buy a candle outside and place it in the church.

The chapel was part of a tour we did with EL Tours. It was a nice stop, and we could go inside and take photos or walk around outside. Chapel is very small and compact. The view was really good with the ocean in the distance. Worth a stop if in the area.

This was one of our stops on the Town and Country Tour with De Palm Tours. Our guide was Bert and he was great. Bert gave us good information about this chapel, but seeing it was charming. The view was unexpectedly good. The stop was relaxing and some vendors were on site to provide food and drink in the parking areas. If you had more time here, you would enjoy lingering for the view. This site has historical significance.

This beautiful chapel at one of the highest points in Aruba is worth the short drive from the Palm Beach high rises.

Beautiful setting on a rise over looking the ocean in the distance. Church is very well maintained. Popular with the locals and tourists. The vendor outside selling religious items is a lovely man who is very religious. His wife makes many of the pieces. Other vendors selling drinks - which were very refreshing. Good to see at least once.

I just came home from God's Acre Healing Springs in Blackville, SC. A friend asked was the energy at the springs like Alto Vista Chapel? The chapel sits on two crossing magnetic fields I was told, if you know about magnetic healing for energy and ailments, you know not to leave Aruba without stopping by that hill. If your wallet isn't feeling Aruba, then drive to SC and get some free water! Let the atheists in your life know, we can't hide from God's magic on Earth. Don't just go from place to place aimlessly.......wherever, whenever....find the magic.

Beautiful setting on a rise over looking the ocean in the distance. Church is very well maintained. Popular with the locals and tourists. We did attend Mass there, all in Spanish. It was pretty crowded. A must visit.

We visit the Chapel every year when in Aruba. We met an "angel" there one year, but that is a whole other story. The vendor outside selling religious items is a lovely man who is very religious. His wife makes many of the pieces. We bring dog food when we visit the Chapel as he feeds the local wild dogs. A lovely chapel, lovely people,
