I don't really want to share this as it was so good Id hate there to be millions of people there to spoil it! But Vaiula beach fales was the place to be. Ideally located on the nicest beaches, with lava tube caves on the property. We had the best time ever. Local kids to play with and local villagers to talk to. We really enjoyed ourselves. Our fales had lights which was a bonus we didn't expect, they had mozzie nets and were about 1 metre from the waves. Basci facilities with inside and outside showers. I only ever showered outside in cold water and it was bliss. We drank the local tap water and Nuggs bar was a welcome addition. NIce coffee in the morning if he was there and not taking people surfing. Great to stay with a real family and my husband and I really enjoyed the meals. Huge portions and a good variety. We had a whole fish 3 times over our stay and lots of chop suey, chow mein and taro. Vaiula beach was one of the most enjoyable places ive ever stayed. Right by To Sua and other places to visit like the big waterfalls.

Great beach to swim at. Water is pristine clear and is great to snorkel at. There is a bar that you can sit outside a check out the sights

We stayed 5 nights on our trip in samoa at the Maota-o-Ma'a Beach Fales by Alaimoana and his family. The beach is beautiful and the fales are clean, spacious and well maintained. The family cooked us traditional food and took us to church. Our favourite place to stay in samoa. Recommend!

Very close to Apia...about 50 minutes by car...not too crowded and lovely Aunty Mago (recently pictured on John Key's last visit) a real character to make you feel at home...down the Mormon Church turn off and left at the coast....

This was a tour stop during our cruise ship's day in Apia, Western Samoa. TafaTafa Beach is soooo beautiful. The water was cooler than expected. Very refreshing. The water's bottom, near shore, was quite rocky and it took me a while to find a soft spot to wade and stand. It was heaven... being in the South Pacific, was exciting enough, but to be in turquoise water that too gorgeous to describe. (And, I thought Florida had great colors to it's water.) Off shore, there are picturesque thatched beach huts, called fales, for sitting and leaving beach towels.

Lovely white sand beach. It is down an unsealed road, but we had a 4WD so it was pretty easy to get to. It was 20WST to use the beach, and another 20 to use the fales. We went snorkelling there, and while there wasn't heaps of variety we still had a great time seeing all the bright tropical fish.

It was a lovely beach to view but very rocky and tricky to get into. there was one area where there was a rock free path to get into deeper water for swimming. The fale's were perfectly place for shade.

This beach is purely amazing. We stayed 4 nights in the beautiful Moatama'a beach Fales. It was clearly the right choice. We had a nice and welcoming host, who even drove us to Togitogiga Recreation center, the To Sua Ocean Trench and to Salepaga. He even invited us to a family dinner, which was really amazing. We had an awesome time at Tafatafa Beach.

The sand and fale's are great! The beach was obviously damaged by the tsunami but they have rebuilt great. Go for a walk along the beach to experience some of the local birds.

Our extended family recently held our family reunion in Samoa, and one of our days was spent at the Moega A Manaia Beach fales in Tafatafa Beach, Upolu. What an awesome choice! The hosts - Aunty Mago and Mafa - are very friendly and were a pleasure to deal with. As soon as we arrived, they welcomed us all and showed us the facilities, including the beach fales, large dining fale and toilet/shower facilities. We were the only ones there and it really did feel like we were at a private beach! Mafa quickly arranged for the volley ball net to be set up and there was also ample space for a game of touch rugby for the guys. Overall a fantastic beach to spend the day with a large group, with fantastic hosts! Highly recommended.

We were greeted by our beautiful hostess who allocated 4 beach fales with mats and pillows to relax in. She was very hospitable, keeping tabs on most things we did. We rang ahead and had a beautiful umu prepared for lunch. It was so easy, we just turned up with our drinks. There was also hot water for any of us if we required tea, coffee or noodles for the kids.Unfortunately the rain decided it wanted to come out however it was still very warm. The water was beautiful to swim in. My 76 year old father enjoyed two 1 hour swims, something he would never do in NZ!!Thank you for a fabulous day out :)
