You can almost drive right past this place, it doesn't really stand out from the road. Make sure you stop though, we had an outstanding experience.Pablo did a great job of explaining all the wines and the food pairings were excellent. We just really liked the people, the food, the wine, the setting, and would highly recommend it.

We were on a full day private driver wine tour and he brought us to Bodega La Azul for lunch. From the time we arrived we were treated like family. The service was perfect. The setting is surreal with the alps in the background. And the food....the food was unbelievable it was that good. And the wine....was just perfect. We had a pairing with each course (6 course lunch). And each was delicious, different from the last but so good.I'd highly recommend at least touring Bodega La Azul.....if you can make time for lunch, it is so worth it!

We went to six bodegas in Mendoza and La Azul was hands down our favorite. Boutique winery, 100% locally-owned and the people could not be friendlier. Bought lots of bottles from La Azul.

We went for a wine tasting. The wines were mediocre. It was only 100 pesos, though, so we shouldn't have too high of standards. Our wine educator was weird -- not awful, just weird.

We came here for lunch based on a friends recommendation and it was fantastic! The food was delicious- I was traveling with two vegetarians and they catered to their dietary needs. They paired the food with their wines which were superb. The ambiance is fantastic and very quaint. The waiters were very sweet and welcoming, I would come and recommend this place to anyone who will be in the area!

Great little place with fabulous wines. We sat outside and just enjoyed sipping wine. Definitely a nice alternative to the big bodegas!

So, i liked this place, period. I liked it even more bc our guide smartly picked a fantastic huge one like Saletein and Andaluna (which were both excellent) and compared it to this one. They make great little wine bags (i never buy little junk at places but I bought this bc it was useful) The place is evidently one of the few that is not commercially owned and be prepared to stock up bc prices are very reasonable.

We went to Bodega La Azul for lunch. The food is excellent probably the best steak that I have had. The wine pairing was perfect.

What a great little place - the people are lovely and the food is excellent! Easily our favorite winery in Mendoza out of the 10 or so we visited. Don't be fooled by the looks - this is a small, family run place but they know how to cook excellent food. The owner was actually our waiter, and he brought us out an extra course because our driver told him it was our honeymoon. No complaints, just wish we could have eaten there twice!

What a gem! Beautiful scenery, quant little winery on the side of the road but by far our best visit. The food was delicious, the pairing of wine was superb, the staff were amazing...the whole experience was the highlight of wine tasting days in Mendoza! So glad we stopped!

It would be easy to drive right past this small winery, but that would be a huge mistake! The wine's excellent and as other reviewers have noted, there is the option of tasting the wines by having them paired with the different courses of a wonderful meal. Another bonus is that according to our guide, it is one of a few wineries that are still owned by an Argentian.

When you see this bodega from the road you doubt it is really a winery with a good restaurant. But for our positive surprise we had and excellent meal with very good wine matching. At the end we tasted wine directly from the barrel, what was also very interesting

Pablo, Marcos and myself were given an excellent wine tour by Marisa Lopez who has thorough knowledge on her bodega.During our tour, we were told that they have been in business since 2003 and they export 50% of their wines to europe and they produce 60,000 litres of wine per year.Their main features wine is Sol Red Wine.We also got to see where they keep the wine in the barrels, along with their fermentation process.Furthermore, we were also told that their head wine maker is Flavia Manterola and the owner of the winery is Alejandro Fadel. At the end of the tour, we all got to taste their wine and the one that I tasted was Grand Reserva 2012 and of course, it tasted GREAT!I highly recommend that you visit this winery for a detailed tour with Marisa Lopez on your first or next visit out to Tupungato, Mendoza Argentina!

My husband and I and two friends had a long lunch, wine tasting, and tour at La Azul a few weeks ago. It was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is completely unique from all the other wineries we visited in Mendoza. And the food was much more creative than just your typical parilla style meal. We highly recommend a visit. Plus, it is located in the prettiest valley of Mendoza! You can read more about our time at La Azul on our blog post about Mendoza: http://www.catchingtradewinds.com/1/post/2014/02/mendoza-argentina-lets-do-lunch.html

This was our favorite vineyard in Mendoza. It is right down the street from several massive vineyards, but it takes a much different approach. It is family owned and run and they make wine on very small scale. We highly recommend the five course lunch with their wine pairing. The staff speaks great English (one of them ran a small Argentinian restaurant in Manhattan for a few years). The setting is very picturesque as well.
