this is one of my favorite places in Lefkada. the road there is an adventure - there is a very narrow road coming down from the top of the cliff and meeting another car needs a bit of extra care. there are also some panoramic view points coming down the road - perfect for pictures.the big rocks in the water make it difficult to swim, but this beach is not for swimming. you enjoy a nice view and "fight" the waves splashing left and right between the rocks. we made some really nice pictures here and enjoyed the time spent here. we also caught a glimpse of the sunset and the view was to remember.

There are more beaches after Kalamitsi. Megali Petra is the first one - near the big fallen rock. Kavalikefta is the second beach, after Megali Petra to the south. Go there following a path, 300m long before the last turn of Megali Petra road. Kavalikefta is a wonderful beach . Many women are topless and some bathers at the end of the beach are nudists. Wonderfull beach.

Wonderful beach, with turquoise sea water and exotic beauty. There is a small cheap beach bar, with helpful and friendly staff. The only disadvantage is the road to reach it, which is too narrow.

There is a small private parking at the end of the road, very near to the beach. It costs 2 euros per day. Have a look from the top, before you reach it for checking its capacity. If it's full or if you don't want to pay anything, park your vehicle at the side of the road. Mind the corners and remember that you have to drive the other way after you bath. Arriving there before 10 or 11 am gives you an advantage. The beach and the sea water is amazing. There is no WC!

Excellent beach but the road down to it is very dangerous. Lot of turnings, 1 car way. If you find another car going opposite, you have a very big problem.

Amazing beach with light blue water and golden sand the best seaside for the summer lovers.The sea is pretty deep but in a sunny warm summer day is the best place to cool off!Breathtaking view when in Lefkada got to visit this beach !

It's an interesting beach to see,but because of those huge rocks it's pretty much unsafe when there are waves!!!!the beach is small,it has a bar,but its marked by it's name only when you reach it,or as we found it by accident when trying to find a way for the beach Kalsmitsi(from the main road there is a sign for that beach and when following it you come up to a crossing where you can go right or left,take a left turn)

This beach is just bad... I have seen pictures and was expecting to find a small paradise but instead....after a bit of hard to reach road the view was dissapointed.Lefkada have a lot more to offer so my opinion is skip this beach...

I have read previous report about road being damaged and was quite sad as it seemed I will not be able to visit this special small beach. I have decided to try to reach the beach myself on July 1st and have found NO PROBLEMS ON THE ROAD! Beach is accessible, maybe a bit more wild then previous years but still has its own character. Small beach, large rocks in the water, taverna, parking (2 EUR), sunbeds and umbrellas, dramatic approach, fantastic nature... Looks like they have repaired the road.

We have visited this (ex) amazing beach in April, 2012 (had been there many times before). Unfortunately, the nature hit it strongly. The road cannot be accessed by car, and even if you get to the beach (which we did), there are plenty of rocks that does not make your stay pleasant... Will it be restored to its previous splendor in the future? We really hope so!

Another typical beach of Lefkada's west coast. Crystal waters, majestic scenery. The difference from the other ones is that this is really small. So, it can be your (almost) private paradise or an extremely crowded place, especially during August. Moreover, the road leading to the beach is very narrow and, as there is no organisation, you must think of it twice when you search for parking space. My advice: park your car just where you meet the first parked one, even if you may have to walk a bit more.

Just look at the photos and make up your own mind on whether or not to visit!Once again, the car park is not free, there is one and cahrges about 3€, but you can leave your car outside the car park, there is also a small cafe right above the beach.The drive to this beach is a tad bit tiring because the road is not as wide as it should be, but the views are amazing and you go through small pretty villages.This beach although not widely advertised, is probably one of the best on the island.

Senza parole ! Ecco come ci ha lasciati questa spiaggia ! L'abbiamo scoperta per caso mentre ne stavamo cercando un'altra ! Siamo arrivato con la macchina che per poco pensavamo di finire nel nulla quando abbiamo visto questa meraviglia ! Acqua meravigliosa ! Il contrasto delle rocce con il mare a la sabbia è fantastico ! Meravigliosa! Inoltre la strada che ci ha portati in questa perla è interessate perché immersa nel verde dove i profumi vi avvolgeranno ! Se siete qui non potete di certo farvi mancare questa tappa !
