Any time - spring, summer or fall is a great time for a stroll in this ever changing and beautifully cared for garden park. Stop for ice cream at the Sundae Station before or after to enjoy it even more.

The gardens are extremely well kept and especially the Japanese Peace Gardens are a hidden gem few people know about.

Simpson Garden Park is close in proximity to Wood County Hospital, and while this experience lasted only a few hours, the time allowed me to discover one of our community's most prized natural treasures. My friend and I were trying to come up with some outdoor activity over the summer, when she mentioned this garden to me that she commonly visited and I had never heard of. As soon as we arrived, I knew this garden park was an ideal attraction for visitors and community members alike. The entire property features a range of garden areas, each following some natural theme and designed using native (and few non-native) plants and flowers. Although the every single garden features a true landscaping talent and effort, the Japanese-inspired Peace Garden, a Healing Garden of commonly medicinal herbs, as well as a cool place to rest under the Shade Garden. Through a few months of winter when stepping outside becomes your worst nightmare, I often think back to the time I spent here, remembering the tranquil environment and the warm summer breeze. So I can say, with all honesty, once spring arrives and plants have resurrected, my first outdoor walk will be to Simpson Garden Park.

A pretty spot that any photographer will enjoy. There are several gardens to walk through and nice walking path that leads you to other gardens with waterfalls and bridges. The gardens are designed with all the season's in mind so you will enjoy the park year round.

Simpson Garden Park is a gem of a park that has won awards for its collection of lilies and hostas. Its winding trails lead its visitors through beautifully maintained flower gardens, a hosta garden, a Zen garden, a "healing" garden, a sensory garden, and a children's garden. There are many spots to stop and rest and reflect and there are always new things to enjoy and discover. There are also sculptures from area artists that are sprinkled around the plantings and are an interesting contrast to the soft scapes surrounding them. It is a wonderful spot to visit.

One of the lesser known jewels in Bowling Green is probably Simpson Garden Park is a little known jewel in Bowling Green because it is not on either of the main roads. It is worth your time to find it and enjoy the flowers, the trees, the Japanese garden and a time to relax with nature. It will refresh your soul!

The park offers a quiet and typically uncrowded place for a walk. The flora is nothing special, and the statuary often is unattractive.

Lovely gardens to walk through. Well maintained by the residents of the city. Take the time to visit!

As it happens, we just went there yesterday. It is blocks from our home and we often take company there to enjoy the lovely flowers and other features. The childrens area has herbs and other things to smell and feel. Also a wonderful water feature plus a small pond with fish and water lillies. There are numerous plantings and most are labeled so you would be able to buy them elsewhere for your own yard. There is a loop trail that has multiple points of interest along the way. The flowers are changing all the time and it well worth the time. One of the nice things is that you could spend a half hour or several hours there. It would be fine for strollers or wheelchairs.

Over the last 18 years I have known this site to be a church, a branch municipal office, a somewhat forgotten corner of an otherwise attractive town --- and now this small but fascinating "garden park", I would call it. I don't get there as often as I should --- perhaps because I live so close by, I possibly take it for granted. But I pass it on the on the street every day and I always enjoy even just the outside view. I also have many friends who go there regularly and stay for a couple of hours at a time, as there is so much to see, and it's so peaceful. Definitely worth the time!

First part of the Park has a childrens garden which is so cute, and then they have tons of tulips in the spring and lilies later, its so pretty. Then they have a path that goes around to other areas, nice walk.
