Nice stop with a small accessible trail. Must see if travelling along Hwy 20. Small trail loop with benches and well kept stairs.

This is a great hike that doesn't take a lot of time, but you get to learn about how the falls generate electricity. The trail is well marked and has a lot if good viewpoints along the way.

Beautiful, serene location with well maintained trails and viewing bridges as well as amazing gardens all around. Ladder Falls is on the Seattle City Light Gorge Electrical Plant ground in Newhalem but it is anything but industrial. Once you cross the Skagit River on the suspension bridge the the foot of the falls, you forget the power plant and are taken in by the beauty and power of the falls and the surrounding flora. It is easy to spend hours here getting lost in the feeling of the place.

A little steep on spots and of course it is slippery so careful when holding on to the railings. The grade was nice and so was the beauty of the falls. he old light posts were still there so history is kept!!!!

need to stop and see the falls and the garden. was here at 8 PM and No One was here so we had the place to ourselves. Loved the serenity and quiet ( loved the sound of the waterfalls)

My husband & I recently visited this falls while in the Pacific Northwest. We weren't quite sure what to expect, as the area is not really well marked & it is right at an electrical power plant site, but the short hike was well worth it! Several steps & bridges allow some wonderful views & mist of the falls. I love waterfalls & this was a very nice treat!

Took a trip here from the nearby campground on our one night in the area. I was pleasantly surprised that we all enjoyed the falls, even our 14 year old son. It is definitely worth your time if you are in the area at night. Bring a flashlight in order to read the signs.

I didn't think I'd enjoy this short little stop nearly as much as I did. It is gorgeous and peaceful. We went on Labor Day so my husband was very disappointed that the Gorge Powerhouse visitor center wasn't also open which means we'll just have to visit again! We really want to go at night. This place was so pretty during the day, it must be stunning at night with colored lights as well.

This is a beautiful waterfall!!! The history of the falls and gardens is interesting and the old lighting fixtures that are still there are pretty neat, too. The falls are accessed via a suspension bridge. There is an old fountain that was cool even without water in it. The gardens are small, but pretty. There are a ton of stairs to go to the falls. Wear appropriate shoes and don't give up!!! I met a woman on the way down who was ready to throw in the towel and she was just a few steps away from where it became amazing!!! With a bit of encouragement, she kept going. The higher you went, the better it was!!! It is worth it!!! If you don't like stairs, there are switchbacks, too, but I would just take it slow if you need to and use the stairs. It is a bit quicker and you have the bonus of looking at the water the entire way.

We went to this attraction late at night on our bus tour in August without any expectations. Crossed a suspended bridge and walked up the path. The falls are lit with colored lights that change on several levels. It was awesome! I would love to go back again and again. Just stand there and soak up the feeling.

Ladder Creek Falls is a really neat place to stop and do a short hike. There is a long suspension bridge that you have to use to cross the river to get to the falls. The bridge is great as you can stop and look for salmon in the river if the fish are there. When we stopped on the bridge you could see lots of large salmon just relaxing in the river. Once we got to the other side there is a short loop trail with stops at some of the water falls. It is really nice and cool by the falls and it made for a good place to stretch our legs!

About a 1/2-mile loop trail, with stairs, providing wonderful views of the waterfall plummeting into the narrow channel. From the parking area, the trail is reached by a suspension bridge, from which it is sometime possible to see salmon in the shallow water.

Ladder Creek Falls are a spectacular set of waterfalls carving smooth pathways into the rock and pounding down with such intensity they create their own cool micro climate. The falls are small, compared to some of their North Cascades neighbors, but their grotto-like location and the lush vegetation immediately around them give the place a tropical feel. The hike is short, but full of stairs. On the way is a wooden bridge to nowhere. Walk across for great views of mossy rocks and the rushing creek. The surrounding gardens and pools are run-down and rather sad, but the stop is definitely worth if for the the falls.

A great and informative stop on the road. The falls are beautiful and the walk not too demanding. However, the gardens area is not currently maintained and was a let-down.

Stunning! The hike is an easy one with an amazing view. We were told they do a light show on the falls starting at 9 pm. I'm so glad we didn't miss seeing Ladder Falls.
