Took a troop of Girl Scouts and they loved it. The exhibits are hands on and this makes for an enjoyable experience. We will be back.

This is an OK children's museum. If you live in the area, you should consider an annual pass. The museum is not very large, and and very nondescript from the outside. There is a "western town" with a general store, bank, jail, school area, there is a small space exhibit, a dozen or so hands on science activities, news van/ news room and an airport room (with air traffic control tower, baggage cart and some airline seats). My 4 year old daughter had a lot of fun, especially in the airport room. But an adult could get very bored very quickly. Many of the exhibits are run down (especially the hands on exhibits). Not the best children's museum I have been to by far, but if I lived in El Paso, I would probably end up there at least once a month.

I was pleasantly surprised by the El Paso Exploreum. When we first arrived, they have a series of foam blocks that are connected by various pool noodles. You can connect them together or just stack them separately. Upon entry, you are thrown back to the Old West. They have horses to "ride", a bank, a school house, general store, and even a jail. In the next room, you have lot of different hands-on activities. The bubbles and water center was a big hit for my son and nephews (ages 4, 5, and 7). They also enjoyed the foam sand, space rocket, and the big tablet with lots of games (my favorite was air hockey). In the last room, they had a luggage rack, airport tower, security, and even part of a plane. My son really loved the luggage rack and the airport control tower. The pros of this children's museum:1. lots of hands-on activities.2. lots of different interests.3. fun activities4. not very crowded.5. activity monitors in every room. (The lady operating the horses was our favorite. She talked to the kids, joked with them, showed them what to do, while the other monitors just dazed off). 6. FREE PARKING!!!7. Open late!! 10-6 (operating hours). 8. Dress up!!!! Cons:1. Not finished. Either this museum is in its infancy or it is not receiving proper funding. I'm going to give them the benefit here and say that they are working the best with what they have. But, I may be a bit of a "museum snob" because we have been to the Portland and Phoenix Children's Museums and they are painted and have designated spaces that are designed to fit the theme...2. Not enough explanation about what the kids are learning. There were only a couple of displays (earthquake table, water table) that had explanations. Not that everything needs an explanation, but maybe for the adults..... 3. I don't know if we were the only unlucky ones, but we rode the "ride", which is basically a simulator. The device seems really old. The sound wasn't loud enough over the hydraulics pushing it back and forth. The kids seemed really scared of it. The chairs are uncomfortable and it really jostles you around. I don't recommend it.

This was our second visit and the expanded displays and activities since 2013 are great! My 3 and 6 year old love all the science and play based exhibits but the airport is their favorite. The real plane seats, beverage cart and luggage mover are a huge hit. If we didn't live in Denver we'd certainly visit more frequently.

We have only been here once since it changed from Lynx Exhibits. Two moms, two four year olds and a one year old: we all had a great time. There are so many "hands-on" activities. I can't imagine any child not finding one or more of the activities just fascinating. Also great for us "big kids", too ;)

My son loves to go to the museum. He enjoyed playing with the Kinetic sand. The news media set from channel 9 is outstanding and lets him pretend he is a reporter. Keep up the good work!

Our daughters, ages 4 & 7, loved this place. We were visiting from Chicago. We only planned for a 1.5 hour stay, and my girls were very disappointed to leave. They could have entertained themselves there for at least another hour. They loved the news van and news anchor desk. They also loved the mock-airplane and mock control tower. Well-worth a visit if you are in El Paso with little kids.

We took our granddaughter to this on a Saturday afternoon. She had a great time with a lot of things to do. This hands-on experience is similar to the kids museum in Phoenix where we have gone twice in the last year; a very refreshing addition to El Paso. There is a great "old western" town inside the building with a pretend store, bank and school. The place opens up to a large room with exhibits and experiments with building dams, bridges and structures in an earthquake simulator. There are traffic simulations where you can adjust the light timing to improve flow and a wind tunnel with variable structures to learn about air flow too. Included with your entry fee is a ride simulator, similar to the ones at Universal Studios where the chairs move along with a movie you watch. There are still dozens of other things I can't even explain; the bottom line, lots to do!It cost $8 each, but on the third Thursday of the month it is free to get in.
