We went down the "main" branch of the Payette with the help of Nellie from Idaho Whitewater Unlimited on a hot day. It was great! This is an excellent family trip - just enough whitewater to get the adrenaline flowing, not so much as to make you wonder whether you'll survive (class 2 and 3 rapids). Its about an 8 mile run - really beautiful terrain. I fell out once and took a swim, but it was not a problem - in fact, quite refreshing. Nellie was very knowledgeable about the river and the area and really knew how to hit each of the rapids. A memorable time was had by all!

These actions were observed from another raft operated by a different company. At the end of the trip the river slows and is a good place to exit the raft and swim. Although the water is less that chest deep in most areas, the one guide jumped in the water and floated away from the guests, the other stayed on the raft and floated it away the swimmers. This female guide then jumped into the water and started yelling "I'm peeing, I'm peeing and it feels good". VERY CRUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. The swimming guide got back on the raft at the take out point, but there was only one guest within sight. The guides continued to act loud and boisterous as if intoxicated with no regard for their guests.AFTER OBSERVING THIS ACTIVITY I WOULD NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY.
