My wife and I came away from this experience appreciating Walmart more than we had before. It helps one get to know Sam Walton and the Walton family better.

I was here on a business trip. I feel that all managers should come here and visit the museum. Mr Sam is extremely respected for his amazing skill to create the largest company in the world. The museum also shares things walmart does for the public that is not always advertised such as how much aid and food were given during Katrina etc. For people who don't know much about the company's history it shows the simple life Mr Sam always lived.

Small but interesting. It is on the square in Bentonville. The little 5 & 10 store where Mr Walton began is cute and has a lot of old fashioned toys. Perhaps the best thing about it is the ice cream parlour through which you exit the building. Wonderful ice cream!

Wonderful museum detailing the history of Walmart. A must for all suppliers but also a neat experience for anyone in the area.

Very well laid out and quite interesting. Spent about an hour and a half. Free and a nice well-priced ice cream shop/soda fountain and got shop.

well done explanation of Sam Walton's execution of his vision. More to read than most people want to do. But have their ice cream in the store before you leave!

So this was the first walmart ever which shows you how it all got started. From humble beginnings to a corporate giant.Walmart is not what it used to be and I think the founder Sam Walton would definitely be disappointed in how Walmart is run now.Nonetheless, its a nice place to see how Walmart started. It has everything from food that was served back then to the Walton's wedding attire to Sam Walton's work office still preserved in original condition.

This is on the corner of the Bentonville square, just behind a red truck like Sam Walton drove. There's a great ice cream shop (right out of the 50s) and a 5 and Dime that has memorabilia that will take you back to that same time. Mr. Sam's office is intact and very interesting. They have audio exhibits, hands-on exhibits, some reading, some video -- it's fun, it's free, and it's absolutely worth the time. And while you're there, enjoy the Square as well. We don't have too many of these left, and this is a fabulous example of what was.

This is a very small museum with stuff from the first Walmart and many of Sam Walton's personal items. The entire visit won't take more than an hour and is just one of those things you do if you are in Bentonville since there aren't really any tourist attractions there to speak of. You aren't really missing much even if you skip it.

It was a free walk through and rather interesting but not mind blowing. Just informative and the people were friendly and it felt real "home town" for sure. Might as well catch it if you are there. My husband liked seeing Mr. Walton's truck that he used all the time.

The museum has many fun facts and helps one understand Walmart and its culture. It also teaches a lot of information about an outstanding man Sam Walton.

The Walmart story is a facinating and very American one. Admission is free, and you are not rushed through. Sam Walton changed retail commerce, and a visit to this museum shows you how he did it.

This is a great place to follow the history of WalMart as it developed into the largest retailer in the world. It is situated in one of the original stores on the Bentonville square. If you are interested in American enterprise this is a good place to visit.

This is a small but interesting museum where not art but history is displayed. Now you could get a Walmart history online, but the ice cream shop at the end of the historic "tour" makes it all worth while.
