I visited Horseshoe Canyon Ranch last November by myself to go zip lining. The ranch is set in a beautiful location and the staff were all very friendly. I was the only who booked in that morning but the zip lining still went ahead as there are no minimum numbers.I did the "pony express" and "Iron Horse" zip line package. The pony express was fun but quite sedate in my opinion but I do do quite a lot of adventure sports. I personally would recommend just doing the Iron Horse (or doing it twice) as it is incredible experience as you zoom across the canyon.

Our family has done the big zipline at HCR twice as part of our overall HCR vacation package. I have to admit, it's the only long zip line we've ever done so I have no basis for comparison. This one is about half a mile long and spans the entire canyon from the ridge on one side to the base of the cliffs on the other. The ride is smooth and fast. They have upgraded the trolleys to ones that keep you pointed straight ahead for the best ride. We can also recommend the rest of the adventure package as well - all fun stuff.

We spent 3 days at HCR with a large group of friends. I believe we had 20 adults and 40 kids with us, it was quite a party. The name of the place is a bit of a misnomer as the riding is just a part of what is available at HCR. There is an incredible Zip Line (longest in the states) and tremendous rock climbing opportunities. Apparently, there are very few Via Ferrata (rope climbing courses) in the US. They are very popular in Europe. We had a chance to attempt and complete the easiest of the Via Ferrata at HCR and it was the highlight of the trip. I would go back and not even saddle up.The food was good and the cabins comfy.

Horseshoe Canyon Ranch provided a variety of experiences that kept kids and kids-at-heartfrom 5-71 happy, entertained, well fed, and sometimes exhausted (That's a good thing!). No TV, limited and limited wifi were not missed by anyone! Nighttime stars, basketball, rock climbing walls, innovative soccer games, milk-carton climbing, and my grandkids whittling on sticks on the patio will be some of my best memories. Families meeting and playing with other families, baby goats out the window, and I must rave about the food one more time! I really appreciated the flexibility of the crew to allow extra time with the tomahawk toss, etc. Adventure - with a capital "A" - zipline & skywalking! Go! Enjoy!

We actually did the complete adventure package, including rock climbing, skywalking, wuick jump, the "screamer" swing and of course the massive zipline. Our tour guide was Morgan, and he as excellent. Everyone there was very nice and helpful and the ranch itself is just beautiful. If you are looking for a nice adventure that will take 3-4 hours and give you a nice workout and a set of adventures, try the adventure package here....awesome!

We read about the ranch on the travel guide. We took our family there one afternoon and didn't expect it would be so fun! The zip line is 2300' long and 350' high going across the canyon. It is super safe and fun! Members in our group who did it were ages 8 - 36. Kudos to owner who got my son to do it. It was the first zip line for 3 of the 6. Highly recommend!
